'25 TN WR Joakim Dodson (Tennessee)

Joakim Dodson told me last night that Ole Miss tried to make a hard run at him in November. Said it was not something he let get out at the time because there was no interest for him in going anywhere else but Tennessee. But he did note the Rebels had multiple coaches reaching out and working to try and get him on campus in Oxford.

“I was always an explosive player, but the stage Baylor presented, obviously playing the first game on ESPN and scoring a big touchdown, I think showed how complete of a receiver I am. People didn’t really know how fast I was before that run on ESPN. Just showing that I am a complete receiver and doing it against some big-time teams in Tennessee and national teams and can do it against any time competition. I feel like this year has really prepared me a lot.”

Dodson will not be an early enrollee, so he will focus on a couple of different aspects ahead of arriving in the Summer.

“Honestly, I am going to spend a lot of time working on my body because the early enrollees will get the time I don’t get,” Dodson said of this. “I will spend time with the strength coach here and speed obviously. I will run track like I have every year to keep improving that.”

I think Radarious is the most talented but I could see this kid pushing for time in the slot a true freshman

Need him to keep in touch with his sophomore RB..... kid looks special and had the other TD in the game.

They will. DGG English is solid but he's still learning the nuances of the language so Dodson was a bit of a middle man. Shekai Mills-Knight kinda the same way for Ole Miss

Under the radar WR. Dodson will do just fine in Knoxville.

I think he will split reps with Staley in the slot. They are both extremely quick and fast, but neither has the body type that CJH likes in outside WRs. Hype and Pope love the big 6ft4 type guys outside...with the exception being Mike Matthews. The other guys that play outside like Bru, Thornton, and Brazzell are all 6ft4in or taller.
