'26 TN WR Tyreek King (Tennessee commit)

Take this for what it's worth, as it is completely 2nd hand information .... I used to work for a local real estate agent / insurer named Shawn King (no relation to Tyreek - this guy is white), who has a son named Caleb, that is an offensive lineman at Catholic. Caleb King is a good player too, he's been getting letters from mid-major schools like Middle Tennessee and Ball State.

Anyway, Steve Matthews told Shawn on Friday that Tyreek has rarely been seen at school since the first of December and has serious academic issues. Shawn relayed that Matthews went as far as to say that he would be shocked if Tyreek was academically eligible to play at Tennessee coming out of high school.

I'm not one to start arguments on here and I wouldn't post this, if I wasn't 100% confident in the validity of this information. I would emphasize that everyone says that Tyreek King is a great kid. Hopefully, things will work out in time.

Also, Tyreek might transfer to Alcoa.

^^^^ This is Shawn King's son, Caleb. ^^^^

Caleb King plays for Catholic High School. They are considering a transfer to Concord, because they do not not like Catholic's head coach. That is why Shawn met with Steve Matthews on Friday. I swear I'm not making this up, but like I said, if you want to dismiss this as just being nonsense from a far-flung source? That's no skin off me. I hope Tyreek does get in to Tennessee and has a great career. This is just something that was relayed to me, that appears to be credible.
6’ 206lb o-lineman that’s being recruited to mid majors, story checks out

Edit: I haven’t seen a kid be academically ineligible since Eddrick Lofton fwiw

Yeah ... because no chance the height and weight are out of date, right? He is actually about 6'3" and 240 lbs right now as a sophomore ,,,, and yes, he has received letters from both Middle Tennessee and Ball State. And yes, Steve Matthews, the new head coach at Concord Christian, did tell his father, Shawn, that it is unlikely that Tyreek King will be academically eligible to play out of high school. Caleb has pictures available on the internet.

We'll see what happens .... but my "story" is accurate.
Not doubting it, just doubt with ACT/SAT scores and clearinghouse being eliminated that this kid can’t at the least get a GED and enroll. That’s how easy it is now

This isn’t a shot against you but when was the last time a school wasn’t able to get a recruit enrolled? I know it use to be a common occurrence but now feels like a non issue.
