What were all those chants beyond SEC, and how were the fans before during after the game. Curious as I hear so much bad about them when they win
They were chanting SEC making fun of the conference. Fans weren’t bad at all. Like most said the occasional drunk who is obnoxious but that’s it. Very surprised at how quiet that stadium was for the size. Kind of a joke TBH.

Wow! I figured a lot was overblown, went to UF with UT and Pitt as WVU no problems

So much respect for your support. No doubt some who made the trip, didnt have the money to spare, but went anyway to support the team. I genuinely feel sorry for all who made the trip, especially those mentioned earlier. The team and staff clearly didnt deserve that type support. The game was flat out embarrassing. Like college against high school. I expect Heupel to apologize to the fans in his post game comments. If he doesn''t I will lose all respect for him.
Osu hit haymaker after haymaker on us. And our team looked checked out. It gave off the vibe of , the players have their money so why should they care.

A surprising amount started playing with less effort when they went up 28-10. Really disappointing. I know who kept trying their best though. I’ll remember that for next year. Wouldn’t mind seeing some dudes hit the transfer portal

He is a good coach. He is not a miracle worker who can turn chicken fecal matter into chicken salad.

I mean ... he kind of did though? 2021 was a big ol' bucket of chicken fecal matter, and not only did he come in late to the season, he was one lousy ACC officiating crew away from 8-5 at the end. That was really what sold me on the guy, to be honest.

Sorry, I know what you meant. Just going for a little levity in the wake of a heavy evening.

Yeah I laughed at their decibel meter. When it was getting to 120 on there. In Neyland when there’s a key play you can’t hear crap the person next to you is trying to say. It wasn’t that loud in the Shoe. That said just by looks it seemed like there was 30-40k vols in the stands.

Every OSU fan we talked to said it was crazy how many UT fans were there. They said they’ve never seen anything like it.

Let's hope it's not the last time. One thing I do regret about this kind of loss is the idea that fans may be less inclined to go the distance next time Tennessee's in a position to compete in the playoffs. I don't doubt our fanbase's commitment or passion when I say that, either. But let's face it, you pay 150-500 bucks, you drive six hours, you fill maybe 30-35% of the opposing team's stadium, and then that ... uh ... game happens ... I wouldn't blame anyone for being gun-shy about big commitments to road game travel for a long while after. I know I'd be. And I wouldn't blame anyone else for being that way, either.

Excuses are just that, EXCUsES! That OsU OL had a bunch of benchwarmers playing on it and yet absolutely manhandled our DL, many teams across country use Freshman WR and yet you want to make excuses that we were down to that also? Nevermind the fact they are now 13 games into the season, they are freshman in name only. Face it, we got outcoached, out hustled and just flat manhandled! Coaching was a big part of that, heck maybe we need to hire their OL coach because he made chicken salad out of chicken fecal matter!
Ohio State has four and five star players stacked at every position. They’re working with a little more than “chicken fecal matter”. Still to your point I agree we could’ve coached better, also could’ve players could have played better. Idk if Ohio State wins the whole thing bc Day still makes some questionable calls at times. But I do know they’re probably the most balanced and talented all around team I’ve seen.

For the most part their fans were very classy. There were a few younger douches that were drunk. Also I smelled more weed in that stadium than I have ever smelled in a college football game.
Where were you sitting? Classy is not a word I would use to describe those fans. I was around a lot of people my age (early 30s) and younger. Rude and obnoxious as a general rule, both inside and outside the stadium. I have a lesser view of them now than I did going in.

I always hear this about osu, elaborate please? Would love to hear atmosphere experiences in detail

Ya decibel meter was def just some pre programmed garbage put on there to make their fans think they’re loud. I could hold a conversation all night. When Neyland is loud I can’t hear myself think and def can’t hear the person next to me talk. Stadium atmosphere would be in the 13-16 range in the SEC. Unfortunately they’re team this year is light years better.

That 4 and 5 star OL got their butts kicked all night by a Michigan DL that isn’t even near as good as ours supposedly is! That Michigan defense also wasn’t supposedly as good as ours was supposed to be! The key is their coaches saw that BS they put on the field a few weeks ago and made sure it didn’t happen again. They made necessary changes and took advantage of those, while we have our 3 weeks off and seemed like we took a vacation instead. Just like we have with off weeks all season long. So no, that talent disparity isn’t near what was showed last night, the disparity in coaching was though.

Heupel will use the same 4 to 5 phrases he always does.

Both of Michigans DTs are very good.

Talent disparity isn’t what it showed? I’m sorry but yes yes it is. We’re not close to as talented as they are neither was Michigan. Michigan’s win had less to do with their coaching and more to do with Day trying to outphysical Michigan.

I paid more for tickets and travel further, would do it all again. However, I get what you’re saying.

Their defense wasn’t even close supposedly to as good as ours was, take that however you want but Meatchicken got their butts handed to them by Texas at home and lost some other bad games but yet beat OSU. So you can say that was because of Ryan Day and be correct, however that says a lot about getting our asses beat by that same Ryan day last night! Plus the fact that their offense last night could have scored 60 if they wanted but yet they lost to Oregon whose defense is an absolute joke. So no our talent isn’t as far off as you think it is from OSU unless you want to admit we have been TERRIBLE with our evaluations as we have spent 15-16 million plus on our roster! So we have spent some bad money it seems on non talented players, which either way is on the coaches!

I was there and I agree with this. I even said to my buddy standing next to me when they were doing the loudness meter routine that we couldn’t have our conversation in Neyland.

They deserved every bit of support because they earned it by getting to the playoff and we are the best fanbase in college football who can sometimes be the loudest. Look I am not happy with the outcome and I believe we need upgrades in coaching at a few different spots. Ohio St is very talented and they exposed our weak areas time and time again. You won't get an apology from Heupel nor should you. His post game summed up what need to be said. We flat out we're not good enough, coaches or players. Congrats to the team on a solid season. Sucks the way it ended as. A fan who watched it live, I'm sure the guys in the locker room are deflated. You it as fuel and learn from it

The more I think about it, the madder i get. I traveled 13hrs total and spent my hard earned money to watch that absolute garbage. Our staff needs a makeover, ol, lb, wr, DC, oc, db. We for some reason can't scheme people open anymore. I watch ole miss. Uga, Ohio state, etc they can scheme and run plays to get people wide open. We haven't done it since 22. Our coaches and players should be throughly embarrassed, and held accountable. I was fine if we lost that game by 3 or 7, but to not even get off the bus is inexcusable.
