I was a huge Casey Clausen fan but not much of a Rick Clausen fan. Don't ask me cause I don't know?

Why not give a third Clausen a try?

Clausen = lack of team chemistry and individualism. The one common denominator for the last 7 years of BCS drought is a Clausen and RS. We have finally gotten rid of RS. Why would anyone want a Clausen.

Haven't we been through enough blackmail recruiting?

Yeah, Cut has only turned Manning Bros, and Heath "dumb as a rock" Shuler into first round draft choices. Can't see why anyone would want to play for the man Archie Manning hand picked to coach his sons.

Casey and Rick both gave their all for the Vols and I expect Jimmy would do the same. I have nothing but good wishes for the Clausen Family Im sure if Jimmy desides to come here in 07 most will welcome him. As for Cutcliffe, I think we are head or heals better off then with RS. I believe Cutcliffe could definately turn this program around. I just hope he doesn't bail for a HC job in the next yr or two unless its the VOLS if Phil gets canned or has to leave for health reasons. Lets face it CPF isn't the poster child for a healthy heart.

I'm more worried about next yrs QB than Jimmy Clausen, if he comes here great , if not lots o luck!

usc recruited the QB right above crompton (sanchez) this year and should be an impact player for years to come. notre dame has two 4 star recruits on their list at QB. i have seen stranger things happen and we all know CPF is an ace in the hole when it comes to recruiting.

any word on larry grant after his visit to gainsville?

We've had like what? 5 starting QB's since then... Tee Martin, Casey Clausen, EA, RC, and Brent Schaeffer. That's a 1 in 5 chance of being the best. And that's a pretty mediocre group. I think Tee was the best since Peyton but that's not statistics speaking.

Anyone remember Ron Powlus? Beano Cook predicted him to win 3 Heismans. Where is he now? Jimmy may turn out to be a great QB. But all the physical ability in the world doesn't translate to a top notch DIV-1A QB. Ainge can also throw it through a wall or linebacker but so far he doesn't have it mentally. I don't think we will get Jimmy, not sure I want 4 more years of Clausen, but if he decides to be a Vol then I back him 100%.
