In high school, I worked with a girl that had a boyfriend that came to the job and whipped her azz in the parking lot. The manager came out to break it up and nearly caught a beat down had it not been for the girl running in between the two guys to separate them...

She separated the two of them and ended up leaving with him soon after. They remained together for quite a long time after that.
