Replace Rick Barnes with Nate Oates and add a couple of guards who can actually shoot consistently

1) Knock down open shots.

2) Improve rebounding. Kansas and Purdue are a bit of an anomaly due to Edey and Dickerson.

3) Aggressively improve our fast-break, transition offensive. We are very timid and allow teams to set up their half-court defense.

4) Develop a mid-game offense (especially against teams with intimidating big men). We have had plenty of opportunities but choose to pass up those opportunities to kickout to guarded players. If you don't pose a credible threat to attack the rim or middle of the floor, defenses wise up and don't collapse/stick with the kickout shooters.

5) Utilize more pick-and-roll and screens to get the our big men offensive scoring opportunities. Our big men aren't good enough to consistently create their own shots, so we need to manufacture opportunities for them.

6) We have the depth and speed to press full-court more often. We have had success creating turnovers with our full-court pressure. Utilize more of it and hopefully in sneaky ways.

They shot 33% and 31% respectively against 2 of the best teams in the country and still hung with them.

The Vols needs to figure out how to generate some offense when the 3 isn't falling and I think they'll be right there.

I'd like to see them get more aggressive with the press and try to generate some easy baskets or push the tempo for some more fast break opportunities.

Shooting is what it is with most of these guys at this point. Need to approach it a little differently to try and get cheap baskets.

Post scoring and rebounding has to magically appear. We could rebound better but unless Grant Williams finds another year eligibility the other isn't on campus. This is a good team but not a Final 4 team.

People are making too big a deal about rebounding. We got out boarded by 10, but that was mainly because we shot so damn badly. We missed 49 shots. Defensive rebounds are easier to come by than offensive rebounds, so it makes sense that with us laying enough bricks to build a skyscraper, that they would have won the rebounding battle.

The issue was shooting/scoring, period. If we shoot 45 percent, we win by 10 and they have far fewer rebounding opportunities. That's how poorly we shot today.

Loved Forbes at ETSU but not seeing him set the world on fire at Wake Forest. Think we might set our sights just a bit higher when the time comes but we better enjoy Barnes while we still have him!!

Continue to improve and gel as a team. I think we have all the necessary pieces, we just need everyone playing at a high level.
