Lots of luck in a one and done crapshoot. More often than not, the best team doesn't win it. The team who gets hot and lucky often does. It's not an identifier of the best team. Not an opinionI've been watching it for many years. Teams that go deep have a go to guy inside and don't rely on jump shooting. It's too easy to go cold and there is nowhere to turn. I would love to be wrong.
Lucky bounces will not be enough to win 4 straight or 6 straight against top notch competition. You have to find high percentage offense options. Players posting up and getting to the rim. High percentage shots and free throws win basketball games. Kansas could get anything they wanted at the end of the game yesterday. The team wildly jacking up threes at the end of games might get some lucky bounces and win one but they aint doing that many times in a row.Get enough lucky bounces going our way and refs that are consistent game to game and half to half. There are no bad teams in the NCAAT.
Yeah, but it's still an odds and probability thing. A team that runs an offense like Kansas did yesterday with highly recruited players gets to the Final 4 often even though they sometimes get bounced early. You have to put yourself in a good position year after year and you rack up trophies. Barnes has done a good job of putting us in position but the offense needs to be tweaked.Lots of luck in a one and done crapshoot. More often than not, the best team doesn't win it. Or we just need to execute better. Players get wide open looks in this offense. Lots of posters jump into the "we need a new offense, offensive coordinator, etc". Technically it's just not the case. Are you saying that jacking up contested threes the last ten minutes of the game while the other team gets easy looks around the basket and trips to the free throw line is not gonna work? You may be on to somethingEstrella and Awakwa have to evolve into consistent threats offensively…otherwise, not seeing it. Can’t depend on 3’s to take us there.
