To those who think 2015 will be better...

I have no concerns for 2015 (Team 119), I am focusing on Team 118.

GBO!!

Texas A&M does not seem to be having a problem with a young QB. In fact who cares right now this is 2014.

I know right... The OP should have clearly stated in the thread title this was about 2015 so you guys could've simply avoided it. Ya know since you care so little and all.

Who's going to play QB next year? I have faith in the coaching that the O-line will be better, the WR's and RB's will be better, the already much improved defense will be incredible, but what about the QB position?

Peterman?
Dobbs?
Wzeyhakkdhak? (Sp?)
True freshman?
JUCO?

There's a real concern going into 2015 at that ONE position, which happens to be the most important.

Dormandy will arrive on campus in January. He will get stronger and will learn the playbook. During spring practice, what he learned from the playbook, he can put to actual application.

Once the season begins, he will be like Ainge was as a freshman and start slowly. The defense & the running game will keep things together until the UGA or Florida game and by then he will have a bigger part of the playbook that he can use.

Each week, give him a little more of the playbook to use.
Game #1, he is given 50 plays that he can use in the game plan. Game # 2, he is given 60 plays that he can use in the game plan. By season's end, he will be able to use the entire playbook.

It worked with Ainge.

How about Ferguson being our answer at q.b. next season. Ha! Ha! Just goes to show that every 4* or 5* recruit doesn't necessarily pan out for the program.

Do you often laugh at the failure of 18 year old kids who are pursuing their dreams?

With the way Worley has played so far this year, there is no shame in being #2 or #3 behind him. He has been playing lights out. If you told me we could have this version of Worley every year, no better/no worse, I'd take it.

The fact that there was a competition this fall should be VERY encouraging.

Well, you obviously did your research.

There's a QB competition in our future, hoping a dual threat will win the job. Doesn't matter who.

Valid question the staff is asking every day and nothing to do with the loss.

Read.

I'm pretty sure the staff feels good about Peterman and Dobbs. I hope the days of us starting a freshman QB are over. However, I do understand that here on Volnation the next freshman QB we sign is always better than the upperclassmen QB's already on the team.

I share your sentiments. However, this staff has shown that they can recruit and develop. We'll have someone at least serviceable for 2015, and hopefully with the growth in the team around them it will be enough.

I think they may try and redshirt Dobbs.

Anyone know how his passing is going ? I would guess he is a faster runner than he showed last season (someone posted he had a thigh injury last season) Unless that Gibson kid signs - Dobbs is the man.

And Gibson seems like he could bring a lot of drama to UT. Not sure what to think about him at this point.

Take your anti-depressant OP. It will be OK. Another year of butch filling out coffers and adding depth.

For the doom and gloomers... UT had some real scoring opportunities that we missed.

Peterman supposedly was really close to winning the starting job this season. He has another year to get better and so does Dobbs. The way the OL is blocking Peterman may have to play this year let's hope that doesn't happen. Regardless with these guys having three years and two years for Dobbs in the system no reason they want be ready to play and play well.
