Tobe Last Night

Tobe has Awakened.
Let's just hope he can figure out how to play without fouling. That's been his biggest issue. He's the best rebounder on the team and a better offensive player than Aidoo now. He just has to be able to play clean.

Bradshaw was very lucky Awaka restrained himself. He would have not been ready for that smoke with those little twig arms of his. Awaka would have snapped all 7 feet of him in half!

We needed that kind of play out of him. We have been missing that enforcer, well you just awakened the dragon!

Tobe should have shot foul shots on that scuffle. Bradshaw pushed him in the back and then head butted. Oh well!

GAINEY had to mess it up; otherwise Tenn would have had 2 possessions out of it.

My thoughts exactly. Awaka could snap that stick. Somebody needs to tell Bradshaw...........nevermind; he proved he isn't thinking with a brain when he shoved Tobe.

We‘re really gonna need him down the stretch. The playbook is out on us. Teams like to bully Aidoo and that’s just not his game. I never thought we’d miss Plavics but we really do when teams want to get rough in the post area. If Tobe can bring that, it will discourage that type of play. Can you imagine that SC dude doing that Barkley stuff to Uros?
Uros had the strongest hands on the team IMO.

Then why did he only average 2 rebounds a game?
IMO....he wasn't athletic enough to get in a great rebounding position (he was often called for a foul "fighting" for position) and of course limited PT as well. But when he did get his hands on the ball...no one took it from him. Hope he can carve out a niche playing for a living. He LOVED being a Vol and took a lot of criticism with grace and dignity.
