I'm not sure what you meant. But let's get back to Harris. How bad do we need the kid?

We need one great big, which Harris obviously is.

In 2010 we will have Negedu, Hall, and Williams left at PF/C. Williams, IMO, will never fit Pearl's system. Negedu will be a force by then and Hall will be a solid contributor. Therefore we need one big to start next to Negedu, someone good enough to start as a freshman, like Harris. Then we need one more big to be a bench player who develops into a big time player down the road but can be a solid third or fourth big in the rotation (Pinkston, Ferguson, Black, etc). Just my :twocents:

The problem i have is negedu is 6'7 and Harris 6'8. Tht's small. Defensively that coudl hurt us.

6'8" should definitely be big enough for a PF in college. 6'7" is definitely short for a center. However, IF we get back to pressing, we should be able to mask that. Plus, you know Big-E will never give you anything but his best.

I will say this. Negedu is like Blair in that he's just so strong he can mask that 6'7 height, so that makes me feel better. But you bring up a really good point a/b the pressing, it won't too big of a deal. And height doesn't matter in rebounding, so that won't be a problem.
