Tobias Harris: "We're a family"

Absolutely ridiculous. Being nice to you (or me, or anyone) does not excuse carrying illegal firearms, and making selfish decisions that are bad for his family. Not to mention being a 'nice guy' never means you are a good person.

To be fair, doing something stupid or bad doesn't make someone a "bad person," either. They're just people and people screw up sometimes.

When you say "screw up sometimes", do you mean getting caught by authorities sometimes, or carrying guns, drugs, and weed sometimes? Because I can assure you that Tyler Smith does the latter more than just sometimes.

Well some people may think youre a bad person for judging someone you don't know it goes both ways.

If saying someone has character issues because they have guns, marijuana, and open bottles of vodka in their car makes me a bad person, then so be it.

That "judging" stuff kills me. I'm not determining whether or not Tyler is a person that smokes weed and does bad things in his personal life. I'm simply stating it is a fact that is what he does. Now does that make him a bad person? That's your personal opinion. But I never said that. I just said he has character issues considering the fact that he has a child that he could have chosen to spend time with, but instead..

Can we add Dumb and Poor Leader to the issues?

Can that really be considered an issue? I consider an issue as a final outcome after consideration. I'm not so sure Tyler has really ever considered becoming more intelligent or becoming a leader. That's just who he is. I guess that would make him a bad person depending on how you feel about that.

Absolutely false. Tyler Smith is a great guy. How about you meet someone and talk to them before you judge them.

A lot of serial killers seem to be great guys when you meet and talk with them. I'm not comparing situations, but I'm just saying...

I'm trying to decide who is my favorite 2010 prospect. Him or Michael Taylor.
Tobias quotes from interview yesterday with Anthony Wireman:

I explained that I had read the aforementioned articles and basically asked him how he is feeling about the situation in Tennessee.

"I mean right now we are going to wait and see what the final decisions are with the players. Then, we'll talk a lot of it over."

I told him I can imagine he and family would likely have some concerns.

"Yeah, we do. Right now I'm sticking with it, but we are going to wait and see how everything goes."

I asked him if the concerns were with this particular situation or is it this plus the situations with the UT football team and anything else surrounding the athletic programs at UT.

"The whole thing."

He added, "we are a family at Tennessee and I am sticking with the family for now. "I'm going to pray on this whole situation and see how it goes."

I asked him how the outcome will affect his future in Knoxville.

"I don't know yet. We are going to wait and see. We really need to understand more information about the whole thing."
