I never said Stokes isn't a player. What I said was I bet he wishes he could reconsider his decision to attend UT and play for CCM. I base that on the rationale that any player at that level wants to compete for conference championships and play in the tourney every year...something CCM's teams haven't done.

IMO, he would be the player he is regardless of where he chose to go to school.

Then how did LSU and South Carolina pull 5* this past class?

I think it's becoming increasingly difficult for CCM to instill confidence in anyone that this program is headed in the right direction.
Tell that to Kevin Stallings or just about any coach whos had a losing/mediocre season. There's a recruit for every coach.

That's true for any coach, gets harder to recruit top talent if you continue to lose.

On the flip side, Martin has improved each year (year 1 to year 2) and is on track to for a 3rd straight year. If he makes the dance this year I would expect recruiting to get easier for him.

Sorry...I don't buy the Martin kool-aid. Beating down Vandy Saturday doesn't all the sudden make things right.

Whether he makes the dance this year or not is immaterial to me. I hope recruiting does get easier for him...but I hope it's at whatever mid-major job he lands after this one.

It's not opinion, it's not kool-aid, it's fact.

If he makes the dance this year, he has improved every single year that he has been here. That is fact, you can't argue that any other way, and to try and do so just makes you look foolish.

I'm the one looking 'foolish'??? Riiiiight.

He hasn't made the tourney yet...in his career...that's a fact. He also has underperformed with his most talented team to date. You are aware that over 20k have indicated they want a coaching change, right? You are in the ever growing minority of fans who support this mid-major guy posing as an SEC coach.

I know you can read, I clearly said if he makes the tourney this year. If he doesn't, then nobody on here will support him the least bit.

And I guess you're not aware that, that is actually not what the petition says apparently.

I'm in the contingent that will allow him to finish this year, I think he deserves that. If he makes the dance and wins a game or two, hate to break it to you but he's here for at least a couple more years.

Support him for as long as you like BTO...I really could care less.

What I do care about is the long-term health of this program. They keep him and the curtains will return and fan apathy will grow.

I won't spend another $ on UT bball as long as he's there, and I don't think I'm alone in that regard.

Obviously enough people disagree as there were 18k Vol fans at the last game cheeriness on the team.
