Are really starting to hurt this team in more ways than one. He's got to step it up and play better. I don't want to hear the he's a freshmen excuse either.

Yeah, god forbid we excuse an 18 year-old kid for not being the most clutch player on our team.

And so it begins . . .

Dude goes for 18 and 8 . . . and he's the reason we lost.

Tobias fought through a lot today. I thought he started off rough but finished fantastic. If he and Scotty had any help at all, we'd have got the W.

Cam's disappearance, Goins lack of brain and Tobias' D are our most glaring issues. We can talk about shooting, but that's nit killing us. Our wilderness O and goofy substitutions are our structural issues.

no player on the entire team had more than one field goal besides hopson/harris...this team will probably need to win 3 out 4 now and with UK and Vandy that is not looking promising...they lost the game in the first half and from FT line...same old crap from a mediocre ball club

Our chemistry is bad.. It seems like we pass in the middle of an open shot to a person with bad position 10 times a game

Tatum and Goins ineptness has turned a suspect halfcourt offense into a disaster.

He's a freshman. The football team makes the excuse all the time. It's actually a pretty legit one.

I did actually see Scotty hit an open Harris on a flex cut today (who immediately kicked it back outside.) In six years of pretending to run that offense, I think that might have been the first time I have seen anyone actually pass the ball to an open man coming off of the screen on the opposite block.

Tatum isn't helping at all. I think pearl needs to start Bone over Tatum. Maybe that will light a fire under his ass.

The screens and lazy cuts are unreal. Almost every defender playing us lazily floats over the top of those screens and we never pop back or oop over the top and force real defense. If we taught actual screen use, we'd have killed UGA.

No way is Tobias hurting us...kid plays hard...I admit sometimes he doesn't get all the rolls to fall his way but that's just basketball. The player i think is hurting us is Brian Williams...and it's not so much him but the offense...we have players that can drive and score and drive and dish at will, but he clogs the lane...if you don't believe me watch any game.

GBO!

Stephen Pearl is killing us! He has no right to be out there on that floor. yes he does hustle but his turnovers and passing ability are not good enough to warrant playing time. JMO!

Exactly. When your half-court offense sucks, and you purposely try to play a half-court game, it's not exactly a recipe for success.

Agreed. Tatum pretty much disappears from games with talented teams when he isn't shooting well. He at least didn't disappear against Vandy last time (he just made bad decisions), so maybe there's hope for him to play about as well as he did against South Carolina (about 10 points, a few assists, and a steal or so). USC and Miss St. shouldn't be that bad for him either, but he'll likely be lost again against Kentucky. I'm glad that he's at least making less awful decisions/turnovers, but he needs to raise his level of intensity on offense.

Goins has been making slightly better decisions lately - he just needs to play better. He should be able to make unguarded lay-ups and good plays without getting a technical foul called on him.

I don't have as much hope for Tobias' D this year. I want to see our other players help him out more when he is getting dominated like he did today.

I don't have the stats but I would say he has forced more turnovers than he has given up. He is a good role player and you get the same effort every night. Hopson/Tatum/Harris/Bone..can't say that. It depends on their mood.

Pretend to screen, pretend to cut, pretend to consider throwing the ball to the cutter. I'm not sure why they bother to go through the motions.

Hard to watch. We don't run within 5 feet of our screens, unless they're on ball (all props to Billy D for inventing those).
