Todd McShay on Tim Tebow

I could see him being used as a fullback, just based on what we know about him right now... and in even more ways with those 'wildcat' offenses sprouting up in the NFL.

How can you compare him to any great NFL TE, I have never even seen him run a route or even catch a pass, have you? He is a good athlete but now a days NFL TE's are usually some of the best athletes on the field. Tebow just is not fast, no where near fast enough to play WR or RB and I doubt even TE. I don't deny he is one of the best college QB's to ever play and probably one of the best college players period but I cant see him doing much at any position in the NFL. I may be wrong but I doubt it. If you try that QB dive crap in the NFL you will die a fast death, he has the size for TE but I am not sure that he has the speed and over all skills.

Tebow will be a fullback. He has restrictions in the weight room right now because he is a qb. Let him get a little bigger and I see fullback in his future.

Can't see him at TE... could see him at FB though. I just don't see him ever being able to get separation for LBs running routes.

Huh? How is he a "highly improved version" of Alstott?
Because he is more versatile. He can throw as well as run. I'm not saying Tebow will be a better runner, but when you mix in his ability to throw, that could give him an edge Alstott didn't have.

McShay reinforced his views on Tebow this morning on Mike and Mike. He said that Tebow takes forever to deliver the ball and has erratic accuracy at best. He said that the earliest he would take Tebow would be 3rd round as a QB. Does this bode well for QB recruiting at UF? I mean, what's the pitch: "Come to Florida, run the spread, win a Heisman and two national titles, and get drafted in the 3rd round!!"
