I'll just leave this here
TOM CRUISE
My Job's As Hard As
FIGHTING IN AFGHANISTAN

I'm not disputing that it's more dangerous.
The question is what is harder? I worked landscaping. It's harder physically and more dangerous than a phone job, but to me it's not a harder job. I will take the landscaping all day every day over telemarketing.
It depends on what you think is meant by a "hard" job. I'd probably rather be in the military than do phone sales.
The funny thing is I have heard the Cruise is one of the most down-to-earth people in Hollywood, which is crazy considering he may be the biggest star of the last 3 decades.
Easy to say. At the end of the day, you aren't half a world away from your family, knowing your chances of death are higher than average. You're not surrounded by people you're supposed to be helping, yet despise you for who you are. You're not separated from the world you know, living in a new and completely strange world. You get to go home, each and every night.
Hard not only effects you, it effects your family. And in effecting your family, it digs even deeper into you. The military is a completely different type of job than any other job. It's more than work, it's a way of life.
Argue semantics all you like, but if you can't see that serving in the military is a harder job than acting or phone sales, then you lack common sense.
