Tom fornelli on Nico

You would be bitching if something bad was said. Just take it as good pub and stfu!

No, I absolutely wouldn't, and I'll "stfu" when I want to, thank you.

National media opinions, good or bad, are worthless because they go as the wind goes, and will turn just as fast.

If it makes you feel better, then by all means enjoy it.

Online forums would be pretty boring without worthless opinions to argue about.

2024 has been a good year, and a year of star athletes on the hill.

Dalton Knecht led the men’s bball team to a regular season conference championship and the 2nd Elite Eight in program history.

Kiki Milloy led the softball team to an SEC regular season championship and Super Regional berth.

Christian Moore led the baseVols to an SEC regular season chip, SEC tournament chip, and a National Championship.

Now, it’s Nico’s turn. Heisman contender? Eh, maybe. He’ll win us a lot of games though, and that’s what matters.

Nicos Heisman game will be against Florida.
He’ll throw for 2 TDs
Run for 1 TD
And catch 1 TD
And he will get catch his own pass and kick successfully all PATs except for the ones he runs for two.

Nico will handle all kicking assignments too. When he's not playing Stsr he will be making love to the unmarried cheerleaders.

This thread may seem like hype to some people. Iamaleava is going to be among the top5 QB's in the country this season. He may make it to New York, he may even win it. He'll be a Heisman front-runner in '25 and the likely favorite to win after people see him this season.

People who have seen him play and have seen other top QB's across America play ball agree that he is just as good or better, but he also has an "it" factor that outshines the pure athletic skill of most of the other top quarterbacks.

He isnt on some middle-of-the-road team either. He has all the help he'll need, from coaches to skill players and a strong OL, to go as far as he can.

Get in early or get in late, but the hype is real and the college football world is about to find out just how real it is.

So what you’re saying is Nico is like that A.I. stock I bought last year. I’m pumped!!!

I really hope this kid lives up to the hype.
I'd go as far as saying that by mid-season people will see that he was under-hyped in the preseason.

Everything needed is in play for him to be a top QB this year. A friendly offense, great offensive coaching & system, great players around him, a good defense, a strong conference, generational type talent, a great work ethic, and a media friendly personality.

We haven't had a QB like this in 20 years, maybe since Manning and maybe he even exceeds that.

Well it's like this. We will have an idea after the Ncst game, and we will KNOW after Okla. And for a Tennessee Player to win THAT trophy, He will need to be twice as good as ---say the QB from Uga.

Call me a dreamer; but I say Nico wins the Heisman this year. Then wins it also for the next 3 seasons as well as he pulls a Peyton and uses his full College eligibility to lead the Vols.

He thinks Nico will win the Heisman!

No. It doesn't matter what he thinks nor anyone from the national media

Yes. It is very cool that national people are finally seeing our program in a positive light, especially where we've been in the not too distant past.

For those of you who don't know who he is, he is a host of the cover 3 podcast, a national college football show. He is not one who lavishes praise nor is usually one to buy into hype. To me, this means he has heard plenty of positive things and believes what he has seen himself with Nico

What is this Hypesman Trophy you speak of? I've never given it one thought.

Please carry on.

2024 is basically a replay of 2022 or should I say the redoing of 2022. As we saw in 2022 when we have a QB that can run this system the way it needs to be run what can happen. This is a more talented, seasoned team than the one in 2022. Not taking anything from that team I just feel the 2024 team is better positioned to do what the '22 team did and then some. So it is not that far fetched of an ideal that he could win it.

Sami, don't be afraid to live in the best of times.

Whether we win it all this season, or just go 9-3 and play in the Citrus Bowl, no one can know. So why not live it up? Why not enjoy the anticipation of another great Vols campaign?

We have a smart coach, a man with strong values. And a lot of really good assistant coaches, some who can make you feel like running through a brick wall. We have an NIL collective and program that is the envy of most others. We have some incredible recruiting going on. And we have the #1 rated quarterback of his class strapping in for a ride. We've got Cooper friggin' Mays and James Pearce Jr., a fella named Squirrel and another who makes the crowd chant, Bruuuuuuu! Seems like everybody's healthy, which is rare coming out of fall camp. And they're all good lads, the kind you wouldn't mind your daughter marrying. They'll knock the other guy on his butt during the play, but they're good lads.

If that isn't enough, we are the national champions in baseball, all year long. And the SEC champs in basketball and softball.

Hell, man, we have drones in the air making pictures at night!

These are the best of times. You might want to enjoy them more, and worry about them less. Plenty of time for worry later if things don't go as well as we'd hoped.

Go Vols!
Dude yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Enjoy it y’all this is a blessing. To have hope! Hope for an expected end. For a future. Aug 31st let’s gooooooooooo! Don’t get me preaching on this website now! I’ll do it!

If Nico does perform at Heisman level which he is capable Tennessee is definitely in playoffs. Nico is a 5" taller version of Bryce Young. Watch out College Football. In CHRIST Alone
I think we can make the playoffs even if he doesn’t perform at a Heisman level.

He isn’t an obscure mafia hack just because you don’t like what he said.

Did I say that I liked or disliked what he said? I just don't care one way or another what the national media says and don't believe it's worthy of attention. My opinion.

I see Nico as a do what it takes to win type of guy. Team first not worried about personal stats. Those type of guys usually win championships, not Heismans
