Tom Smith

I wondered how Watson cracked the line up before Smith. Watson is fast. Smith may play someday. Just not this year

He is closer to Lanes size I think. We have ran everyone but him and seems to make no since. Also where was Young this weekend?

small and slow...bad combination...a real reach coming out of high school. I had hoped he would bulk up in the weight room and become a travis henry block of cheese type running back. but hasn't happened so far. i would guess that he will be transferring at end of semester

Why are some people shocked a borderline 3* recruit can't get off the bench? I suspect it's the homer in some people who believe every 3* will be an all-sec type of player. Reality checks are needed when it comes to evaluating recruiting classes.

This guy is paying people with reality checks. Nice

We're running the ball well. You can't play 10 RBs if the top 2-3 are running good. We need to be asking questions about the defense. Such as "why isn't anyone on the defense playing this year?"

Why isn't Tom Smith getting reps at defensive end?

As bad as the defense is been, shaking things up should help. Dooley's an idiot.

Amen. Our running game is vastly improved over last year. Defense on the other hand...

Not sure where you're going with that one, but you took it and you ran with it. And for that reason I'll give you a thumbs up.

Yeah he will probably transfer and end up doing well and we will be wondering why Dooley didn't play him.

too small?slow? He is 5'11", 205, and runs a 4.5, built like a Mack truck.... must not be able to hold the rock/learn the play book/or block/pass out of the backfield.... NOT too slow/small

I am sorry...he is slower than Neil or Watson.

And he is smaller and less powerful than Lane

This is the big boys...5'10" 205 pounds don't cut it unless you can fly. 4.5 ain't all that at this level...and I doubt that he can run that

If you going to win in the SEC you have to have backs like Alabama has, Lacy and Yeldon. Got to have some power backs. Bama has two or three and we have to use AJ.

Have to use AJ? I am more than happy to use AJ on the wildcat. He and Pig (besides the fumble) have done pretty well in the Beast formation.

I'm not sure why Tom Smith hasn't cracked the lineup but one thing is for sure, Dooley knows talent, this I can guarantee...he see the Talent in every opponent we face

Correct, AJ's about as close to smash mouth football as we currently have (no true SEC quality backs)

You know how many no star recruits are in the nfl? Just cause a kid isn't given a chance doesn't me he isn't any good. His is the same and young and Watson. If you really don't have and idea keep the small minded comments to yourself. GBO
