Tony Jones father killed

10 post regarding this and over 200 about BB's eligibility. No wonder this world is in the shape it is ... SAD

It's a vols site. We come here to talk about the vols. What good would it do for 200 people to post "thoughts and prayers go out to the Jones family?"

If you sulk and get depressed every time that someone you never knew died, you would live a very depressed life.

Regarding the BB story vs this story, there isn't a lot more for most of us to say here besides "RIP" and "Condolences."

This is terrible news. I saw the headline on the VN homepage, "Father of Vols' asst. coach Tony Jones..." and immediately concluded he had died. It's a lot worse that the man was killed.

I don't think the amount of posts in the BB story means we don't care about this story.

Regardless of if you like the guy or not, your heart has to go out to Tony Jones and his family. No one deserves to have a family member taken away from them in such a cruel and inhumane fashion.

Thoughts and condolences are with you Tony and your family.

And to the poster trying to compare the BB Elig thread to this one, get over it. Ridiculous comparison.

The amount of senseless, random violence in many of our urban areas in America is mindnumbing. A man simply helping care for a neighbor loses his life for the contents of his wallet and a van. It gets no more depressing than that.

No whats Ridiculous is fools that are more concerned with BB situation than an 86 y/o man doing God's work, delivering food to someone incapable of getting out to get it himself, and being murdered. You are a moron like the rest !

I would say a moron is someone who comes on a thread about an old man being killed and *****es at other peoples posts. Yeah, it's very sad, but quit acting like you knew the guy.

When I, or I would imagine most, log on to Volnation its generally because there is some "Hot" topic that we are wanting info on. Just so happens that Tennessee's #1 recruit is the big news, so of course people are going to log on and discuss.

Simply because there was death in the family of a coach at the university does not mean all thing Volnation must stop, and everyone must post ONLY in this thread.

To be honest, I did not know about Tony Jones tragic family loss until my way into work yesterday morning. First thing I did was post in this thread. However, I am not going to criticize those who were already engaged in a thread/topic about Bryce Brown and his Eligibility. Thats what they want to discuss, then so be it.

For you to use this thread as a personal "self-righteous, thou art holier than you" podium to attempt to condemn those interested in posting in other threads is the epitomy of being a Moron and screams hypocrisy.

AGAIN - My heart and thoughts go to the Jones Family during this tragic time. You have many supporters who are sending encouragement your way here at Volnation.
We apologize for any self-serving idiotic posters.

Couldn't have said it better. And I'm impressed. When I clicked on this thread I was worried about what you would say. But leaving impressed.

This type of news gets real old. What can you do? Build some more jails I guess. Poor Tony though.
