With all seriousness, however, I just think it's a bit creepy and obsessive to have "insider information" on the goings-on of a 17-year-old kid. At that age, they are either trying to decide whether to wank before or after dinner. Deciding on a college is much tougher. Anybody who claims to be "in the know," is probably wrong.

So people who follow recruiting, scout rivals 247 etc etc are all creepy in your book?

I admit it's incredibly frustrating but you have to realize that's how it is before you get involved. You can talk to a kid Monday get a feel for his schools and Wednesday there will be a story with a different list. These kids definitely do change like the wind, most of them atleast, but that's part of the territory.
