Tony Romo feels like money

No f-ing way. These QB salaries are out of control. Jerry Jones needs to get out of the way.

Jerry Jones, the gift that keeps on giving.
First Dooley goes to them and now they extend Romo. I love it

So I guess Ware is giving them the "discount", next year.

lol.

Romo keeps them competitive. Who's better in FA this year? They should draft a QB, but for now Romo is the best option.

Atleast Romo makes some plays. Alex does not, he protects the ball better than Romo.

I can't imagine Alex Smith with the cowboys offensive line. Romo's best skill is running for his life. Other qb's would be sacked 10 times per game.

Alex Smith would be injured all the time with Dallas' line.

Alex Smith was to be traded, I have read in reports -

That's an insult to Romo. Smith's Career passer rating is 79.1, Romo's is 95.6 (5th best all-time and .1 behind Peyton).

Romo's interception % is 2.8, Smith's is 2.9. Romo has fumbled 7 times more than Smith, and has started 18 more games than Smith.

Oh wait -- I forgot Derek Dooley is the WR coach now --- Tony will be fine

Yes, I'm sure the cowboys are expecting the WR coach to improve the offensive line. I don't understand why VN is acting like Dooley will have a huge role on the staff. The old WR coach is still on staff as an advisor.

Passer rating is such an arbitrary stat, INT% is a good one. I agree that Romo is better than Smith, but he's not taking them anywhere. I think they trade Romo for draft picks, use one of those draft picks to trade for Ryan Mallett, or someone like that, and start building for the future. If Mallett sucks, take a QB next year, etc.

Yes Dallas overpaid a little. Even if they overpaid by 20 million it's less than 5 mil per year. And then they'll just renegotiate in 2-3 years anyway.

He has a bad reputation for making mistakes when it counts (well earned), but he's still better than most. We haven't had many playoff wins with Romo, but there are other problems on the team that contribute to that more than him probably.
