Too...much...OSU/Michigan...Hype

and the game will probably be an anticlimax. one team will show up and the final score will be 35-7. which in turn will set off a whole new round of "wow, what happened to ....?"

The hype is a little much, but #1 vs. #2 matchups during the regular season are extremely rare much less happening this late in the year.

From watching both teams play most of the year, I don't believe it is even possible to over hype this game.

I dislike both of these universities, but I am more excited about this game than any other non-UT game in memory.

I started to create a similar thread after I saw Espn with a countdown ticker for game time!

Yeah they started doing a countdown ticker three weeks ago on Gameday! I knew then that they were going to hype this thing into oblivion.

neither team has played particularly well in every game. it's not as if they're two offensive juggernauts. they're doing just enough to win so far.

Let me break it down for you... Not only is this a late-season #1 vs. #2 matchup. It's also the biggest rivalry in all of college football. And on top of all that, the winner goes directly to the national title game.

All things considered, this is probably one of the biggest regular season games in the history of college football. Possibly THE biggest regular season game, ever.

There is no way to overhype it.

How many times has the greatest rivalry last game of the season featured number 1 vs number 2.

Not possible to overhype this.

While it may be a great match-up, 1 versus 2. Calling it the biggest rivalry in college football is more of a personal opinion.

How many rivalries are as heated? In all reality, Alabama-Auburn is the only other football rivalry on that emotional level. But I can't remember too many times at all in a long while where a lot rides on the Iron Bowl... One of th teams is usually not doing too well. So any other games where as much consistently rides on the line? FSU-Miami, USC-Notre Dame...

I know its my opinion. But like others have said, it's a hard opinion to argue against.

Alabama-Auburn is the biggest rivalry, end of story. Sorry. I know This one is big, but it is a border rivalry... the Iron Bowl is a BLOOD rivalry. This game has been WAY over-hyped. In fact, you did it again in this post. :p
Not me. My butt will be in my padded seatback at Commonwealth to watch the Cats throttle Lousiana Directional Tech U.

Closer than I would have liked today Brian. The Cats will be in trouble if they play like that in Knoxville next weekend.
