I'm glad to see his life won't be spared personaly. I don't care if he has written a million children books or if he's sorry. The guy was found guilty of two murders and even though he hasn't been official charged is responable for hundereds of other murders. In my opinion he's no differant than a terroist. His group has killed, robed and scared hundereds if not thousands of lives. There is NO reason he should be granted life. An eye for an eye.

Only in America can a guy start such a deadly gang, kill people like it's a game and win the damn Noble Peace Prize....how pathetic!

That's another issue . . . the guy that nominated him for a Nobel Prize is a grade A nutjob.

What? Tookie brought the community together.

Sure, it was by murdering the opposition, but what can you do?

I guess we all know how this ended. I hope that all the parties affected can find some peace now.

Thanks for the link on Daniel Faulkner. It really does seem that the victims get forgotten when the interest groups take up these causes. Yesterday, I heard Tucker Carlson say to Al Sharpton that he would not embarass him by asking him to name any of Tookie's victims. Sharpton looked very relieved. Also, I heard Jesse Jackson say that Gov. Schwarz was using Tookie as a trophy and I was sitting there thinking that was probably the most hypocritical, pot-calling-the-kettle-black thing I had ever heard. What the heck was Jesse doing out there? He knew he was not going to save the guy, just wanted to latch on to the free publicity. I will remain opposed to the death penalty but I do not feel bad this morning.

Oh. Someone mentioned that Tookie was nominated for a Nobel Prize. Adolph Hitler was nominated for the Nobel Prize in 1939.

For Hitler's, that was well before anybody had even the faintest idea of what he was doing inside his own country.

i agree with an earlier post that you have to look at each case of capital punishment seperately, well every case should be looked at seperately for that matter. just last week a man got released from prison for something like a sentence of about 20 years for allegedly raping a woman and come to find out the man that served all of that time didnt even do it. and all the woman said that identified him as the rapist was "i'm sorry", well that just doesnt cut it for me, i mean i know there is nothing else she can do and she doesnt deserved to be punished with jail time or anything like that obviously but that man just missed out on 2 decades of his life, watching his kids grow, teaching his kids life lessons and being with his wife. but back on topic, tookie was in that gang and i'm sure the gang is proud of their reputation and to just be a part of that gang should get you thrown in jail ut when you get caught for killing innocent people like that, i say flick switch and may God have mercy on his soul if He so chooses too. as a matter of fact, for gang people like that, public execution would do some good in my opinion, you'll think twice about breaking the law like that when you realize that could be you getting fried in the public square if and when you get caught.
