Toomer's Corner Poisoned

They didn't find him because of the Finebaum call. They found him because of a voicemail that he left for an AU professor.

Stupidity is stupidity. Right? :)

He certainly has given more than enough info to convict himself.

People can easily empathize with Auburn because of our OWN traditions, monuments, etc ... This bammer committed an act that is beyond disgraceful ... I hope people learn from this. I'd hate to see a Tennessee fan do something this stupid.

This kind of destruction isn't really about the act itself. It's about being able to tell others that you did it. It's not like Updyke could spread the herbicide, and then crack and beer and watch the trees fall down. His personal satisfaction was always destined to come from letting people know what he did. I'm surprised he didn't videotape it.

Not trying to sound like a Richard but I'm surprised this had not happened earlier. Certain fans take the games just a bit too personal.

It's a horrible thing to say, I know, but we live in a society with some deranged individuals.

Fortunately 98% of Tennessee fans aren't as trashy as even the best Bama fans.

An enterprising type could corner the t-shirt market on this and make enough to cover a mortgage payment or two.

You could sell "FREE AL" t-shirts with this guy's mug to Bama fans or "BAMA PRIDE" t-shirts to AU fans.

I don't know but it takes a moron from alabama to kill century old live oaks because they're pissed over somebody putting a jersey on the bear's statue.

Some people take sports to serious. The game is played on the field and thats where it shoul stay. They should make the man plant trees on the side of the highway, everyday, for the next 10 years.

I hate Auburn and Bama both, but I would never disgrace anything that was important to either, because I would't want them doing the same to things we hold sacred at UT.

This guy is a retired police officer. They say he's called into the Finebaum show before taking about driving his police Mustang a 160 MPH. This shows you what kind of people they hire for the Police nowdays.

Heres the latest....I've been told the trees haven't died because the Bama fan mistakenly poisoned former New York Giants receiver Amani Toomer, who is now dead.

He is a retired Texas state trooper.
