For the IRS to appropriately enforce the tax laws against high earners and large corporations, it needs funding to hire and train revenue agents who can decipher their thousands of pages of sophisticated tax filings.
This is pretty rich. Create an overly complicated system of taxation and then ask for more money to hire people that understand the system you helped create.
And lol about "deciphering" anything. When you get audited the first thing they ask for is an electronic version of your trial balance as well as your tax workpapers in Excel or whatever their machine can read. Agents most likely never even look at a return. They run it through their software and it tells them what to focus on.
