Don't know, but I sure don't like Missouri ahead of amny in the top 25. I think LSU would annihilate them.

I remember hat swearing up and down Illinois would beat Missouri, didn't turn out that way. Missouri's defense is piss poor, but their offense would light up most of the teams in the Top 25.

It's really too early to say. We don't know anything at all about Texas yet. Or Missouri. Or LSU. Or Texas Tech. Clearly USC has done the most to impress so far, with Oklahoma and UF behind them. But really, there's no sense ranking teams until you get well past the initial patsy-beatdown portion of the schedule.

Right now, I think USC and the Sooners are a clear 1-2.

USC, yes. I don't know that there's much to pick from between the Sooners and the Gators yet. Assuming they come into Neyland and handle us easily next week, their resume jumps the Sooners' for sure.

that shoddy D will get them killed by OU. It would also get them trounced across the SEC, where the defenses can handle guys like Maclin more readily.

True, but a one loss season in the Big 12 is still enough to warrant a top 10 finish, and they don't have to worry about any SEC defenses.

At this point, what's so impressive about handling us? They handled a Washington team today that took BYU to the wire. Did you happen to see BYU's game today?

I'm just thinking of the voting ballot of the unbiased, unaware, average AP voter. We were widely considered to be a talented darkhorse contender for the SECE this year. If they come into Neyland and whip us pretty well, it will still be considered a fairly "marquee value!!" win. UF's resume at that point will be beating one patsy and two rivals (one on the road), while Oklahoma's will be beating two patsies and traveling on the road to beat a team that hasn't been any good in a long, long time. Better resume for UF at that point, IMO.

I don't personally consider beating us to be worth a damn thing, no. But I'm not an AP voter. They'll think it's worth more than I would.

that's some awfully hig opinion of the two Big 11 outfits, neither of which can beat tOSU.

You saying neither of them can beat tOSU is as ludicrous as me trying to rate the top 10 teams in the country after week 3

OSU will beat PSU, and probably Wisconsin.
I love hearing Buckeyes saying Tressel's job is in jeopardy. They would have a very difficult time finding a better coach.

I'm willing to make a small wager as to the quality of our respective comments.

tOSU will finish the Big 10 ahead of both of them and be ranked higher. You go ahead and name the price.
