I’ve never been to A Doppler either, but everyone I know raves about that place. I love Hard Knox pizza, especially their Iron Mike.

You guys knocking the true Chicago deep dish……we can’t be friends anymore. 🤬
I grew up with New York pizza so I prefer it that way.
I will go for Chicago deep dish on occasion and enjoy it but it seems more like a pizza type casserole than an actual pizza. Hope we can still be friends.😁

Smith & Lentz in Nashville is definitely worth a shot too. Their pizza is 🔥, it’s probably one of my favorites in town lately.

I've been to 4 of these places!! Damn.

All were great.
There was an UNO's pizza in Canton, NC that I ate at 20 years ago. Top 5 pizza I ever had.

Who are these ratings folks?

I rpobably haven't been to one of those superior pizza joints, but for a chain, Romano's Macaroni grill has good pizza. As does Giavanni's Pizza Power up in Gainsboro, TN. Probably the best in Cookeville area. But, they'd rate nowhere near the places on this list.

I have never been to any of these 8 spots in AZ. Gotta check them out.

Interesting Pizzeria Bianco didn't make the list when it's rated #1 in the country by multiple big publications (Rachel Ray, Vogue, etc.). Take any list with a grain of salt. A Yelp user expecting Pizzeria Bianco to be the best will judge it in that light, whereas someone going to Pomo who hasn't even heard of it will be pleasantly surprised and load it up with stars.

Huff's 3 rules of pizza:

1) always marinara
2) the only common way to screw up pizza is make the marinara too sweet.
3) gtfo out with that pineapple

Same, it's not pizza if you cant pick it up and eat it with your hands.

To me, the perfect pizza is the kind where you get a huge slice and hold it with one hand and the pointy end flops too much so you have to semi-fold it to get rid of the flop. If it's still flopping after the fold, it's not right. If it doesn't flop before the fold, it's not right.

CAn't remember much about hte pizza, but when I was a kid, Strawhat Pizza in my hometown was a popular local joint.

At home though, we got served Totino's. Mom would add onion, tomato, and velveeta to make it look like we were getting some good pizza. We tore that stuff up. I kept in on hand in my freezer for many years for a quick cheap eat. There was something about all hte fake ingredients in that pizza.
