Top 15 Class

So for those few of you who continue to say we wont have a Top 15 class, how are you feeling about that now? Thunder has the formula for Rivals & he said once Lanier & Couch commit we will be 15th. We are still going to add Clear, Richardson, & Wright along with 2-3 more 4 stars. :) but Dooley cant recruit :eek:lol: Heck we might even end up on the cusp of Top 10 :).

exactly...doesn't matter how many stars a commit has, they have to perform on the field!...GBO!

Supporting our coach is not taken kindly to by folks around here. Be careful.

People who have half a brain knew all a long what Dooley has been doing, and that he will be successful in recruiting and coaching. It's just a small minority that doubted this class and his abilities.

This class is solid and fills our needs, even if it wasn't a top 15 class it would still hit every area of need for us..... but some people can't see that. Like Jmoore said it's only going to get better. Haters gonna keep on hating..

Unfortunately I don't think it's a small minority...

But not to worry, they will all jump back on our side when everything is said and done.

Jmoore does this formula take in consideration that the teams behind us now and in front of us are going to land more recruits looks like a few of those teams ahead of us have a few more open spots too. I'm not go to say it's not going to happen but if we land 4* and they land 4* how do we pass them?

It does'nt, there are alot of factors that will play into how far we move up. As you mentioned other teams in front of us will continue to add players but most of the teams in front of us are cutting it close to the limit of the players they can sign.

I definitely hope we finish with (wish?) such a bang (Lanier, Couch, Clear, Richardson, Wright and 2-3 unnamed 4 stars). But, you're ignoring that other teams are going to be adding recruits too.

If we ultimately only added 2 more 4/5* recruits, we'd have 6 total, which would place us in the same 20-25 category nationally, and tied in the bottom half of the SEC with Arkansas and South Carolina.

If we ultimately added all 5 of the ones you named, then we'd finish with 9 4/5* recruits, which would likely place us 5th in the SEC and around 15th-17th nationally.

If we ultimately finished with the all-the-4/5*-recruits-on-our-current-wish-list, and ultimately added 7-8 4/5* recruits, we'd then have 11-12, which would place us somewhere between 3rd and 5th in the SEC depending on how Georgia and LSU finish, and somewhere between 10th and 12th nationally.

Thanks I hope we do land a top 15 class but the biggest thing I'm looking at now is that we are filling needs and we have alot to fill.

Even if we aren't loaded with talent in this particular class, It looks to me like Dooley is filling some serious needs with at least solid talent and kids that won't leave. That is perfectly okay with me for this class. Looks real good.

I agree exactly because when we do start landing more top recruits these guys become your depth if they don't show up.

Exactly we will be top 10 or 12! When DD gets in those living rooms we will get the ones we want and add a few surprises! I think Bellamy or maybe even Crowell will be our shockers, but we GOTTA get Clear, Richardson, and Wright!!

Randolph will get his 4th star so we will be sitting at 5. Might as well count Loften if he gets in even though Rivals technically won't so that gives us 6. Then throw in Clear, Richardson, Couch and Lanier and we are already at 10 with about 5 or so spots left.

If we land 2 or 3 out of Dawson, Wright, Rome, Bellamy, Bigelow, Huggins, ect then we will be right around 12 or 13 4 stars.

This is not as unlikely as you would like to believe.
