Not even...When we played there in 2003 they treated us very nice even after they lost the game...Now maybe with Gator fans they are hostile being a lot of gator fans are a$$holes and talk a lot of crap...Yes, you do.

Your opinion is noted.

I'd put Ohio State fans on the naughty list. Never a great experience. A few are ok, but in general not a good experience. And I'd put Tenn fans up on the nice list.
Only bc we don’t hate you guys. I’ve seen Tennessee fans get extremely hostile around Florida and Georgia fans

Playing at Texas Tech, especially at night, is one of the worst away-game experiences in my life. Absolutely brutal.

Years later, two of my daughters opted to go to Tech, and not much had changed in 25 years. We're walking up to the stadium, and my oldest daughter points to three charter busses. She tells me they're temporary jails since the police need them for all the drunk/disorderly arrests during a game.

The Oregon fans I interacted with before, during, and after were all great. Good natured in the win. Complementary of the fans, game atmosphere, Knoxville. They are cool in my book.

And Lubbock County is (or it was) a dry county. If I remember correctly the county line is only ten minutes from campus though.

Been to several UT and Purdue games and by FAR the nicest fans were Nebraska fans. Cool folks and friendly despite their ridiculous expectations for their Huskers.

A buddy was in the gumps band and traveled to all the SEC stadiums . He stated without a doubt TAMU had the friendliest fan base and it wasn’t even close

Maybe it's just a bad sample from the two times Bama played them in Atlanta, but I had awful experiences with VaTech fans. They were just terrible.
I’ve said it a few times on this board. I graduated from SEC and Pac12 schools, and have worked in the Big12 and the ACC. I’ve spent a lot of time around all conferences and teams. Va Tech is by far my least favorite fan base.

I know a decent amount of VT fans and they are pretty good, but the majority of them were complete dicks on Gameday in Bristol. On more than one occasion these random VT fans would pass our tailgate or when we were walking to the game and talk smack. It wasn’t Go Hokies, boo Tennessee, we’re going to win kind of friendly banter. It was “**** Tennessee, you guys suck, you guys ain’t $h…” We were pretty surprised because they do have a good reputation. They definitely didn’t live up to it.
Back in the 90’s when they played Bama in the Music City Bowl there were a bunch all around downtown Nashville. A lot of loud mouths is what I remember

I received similar feedback from FSU fans dating back to their Sugar Bowl national title game against VT over 20 years ago.

Auburn and Notre Dame are the best I've encountered. LSU is the worst with Alabama as a close second. My daughter is a Sunday school teacher, you say LSU to her and she starts cussing like a sailor. LMAO

Florida at 15? Lol.

You guys still have PTSD from the 90s.

Our fan base, students in particular, has gone soft over the past decade or so. They show up late, leave early and spend half the game on their smartphones.

The days of throwing piss bombs and groping Vicki Fulmer are long gone.

I've been to 5 games at the Swamp, never had any problem. And I don't believe some of these wild tales about piss bombs for a minute. I'm just 50 miles away, thinking about going over next weekend.

Good to know….. back in ‘96 a big Olineman looking gator fan said something like “ just like Vols fans, a bunch of pus**ies” over my shoulder in a market on the strip when I only bought a six pack of beer…..it was only an hour until kickoff…I waited for him to come out of the market … I had to walk up the street beside the market, but he was tailgating behind it. The street was up above the parking lot with a retaining wall… so I decided to take one of my bottles of beer out of the bag and heaved it like a fast ball at him…as soon as it left my hand I thought “oh S”… it was heading directly at his head…. It zoomed right by his face … close enough he felt the wind off of it and it hit the back of the building and exploded…. Lol… he looked up and I said something I can’t remember and took off. I have him the Ernest T. Bass treatment

Yes…. He was a gator. …. And about 6’6” 285….and an a-hole… and he started it. I didn’t stalk him. I just was walking back to my tailgate and noticed him walking around the store…. He deserved it. I’m just glad I didn’t hit him in the side of the head like I thought I was going to

Dude called you a name and you got all triggered.

I’ve been called worse than that on the road, and it never occurred to me to throw a beer bottle at someone.

It’s not worth it.
