No offense to kentucky football but why would Franklin leave Vanderbilt to go to Kentucky? They were both bottom tier SEC teams and Vandy looks like a step ahead of UK right now. Is there some sort of connection?

Also, I don't see Kentucky paying Petrino what he wants to come to Lexington.

And MB has said many times publically they would pay as much as it would take to bring in a top head coach

Tressel won't go to UK.. That's a pipe dream baggage or not - he will get a good job when the time comes - I'd take him at UT.

I'd post the video but it's rather lengthy.. But Mitch Barnhart said if the opportunity arises to get a top name coach into UK he would be willing to pay what it takes. So I don't think money or willingness would be an issue.

I think the best bet would be to hire an up-and-coming mid-major coach, but I don't think Joker will be let go after this year unless UK wins 3 games or less. Joker isn't as bad of a coach as people think. Just imagine how terrible Kentucky would be with Dooley in charge.

Surely Fulmer could have gotten an NFL job as Oline coach -- the same sorry ass idiots keep getting NFL jobs - namely Mike Tice and Ron Turner -- sure theres more BTW isnt Tressel in the same boat as Bruce Pearl - cant be hired for 5 years ? I really didnt follow that part of the story

Yes that's correct - well technically he can be hired.. But he won't be till his show cause is up.
