Gators
Tennessee
Auburn
LSU
UGA
I really think the Gators may very well go undefeated and to think we came within a single play (stop) of defeating them, speaks volumes.Kind of reminds me of the basketball team the Gators had.We played them tough and defeated them. They may very well have a chance to be a two sport National Champion this year IMO!I only wish we could catch them again.

Are you listing those in order? I would not put UT second. Our 1 point loss to UF is not as good as it seemed, as our 1 point win over AF is not as bad as it seemed.

Mine would be:
1. UF--two big conf. wins...hard not to put them 1.
2. Auburn--they're only here until they lose, or beat UF.
3. LSU--lost it's only big game thus far...but playing as well as anyone on both sides of the ball right now.
4. TN--tough stretch coming up. 1-1 in big games so far, hopefully 2-1 after this weekend...
5. UGA--just cause they're undefeated...

Shouldn't Ole Miss and our man Shaeffer be on that list since they kept it close. Man, BS sure picked a good team to vault his career. He looks helpless. He looked more talented on our sidelines than he does on their field.

I am still not that impressed with UF. They have a great defense and an acceptable offense with Leak running it. They beat Alabama, not that great of a win, Arkansas did that. They beat UT, jury is still out whether beating UT is a great win.

How is Auburn not either 1 or 2 on any list?
yeah, they did beat LSU who doesn't suck...i think too many people have been listening to the ESPN prognosticators talk about how they struggled against USC and how good Michigan is etc...who let's not forget struggled against VANDY!!!!

Auburn beat an SEC team on the road on a short week...win and advance....that's all you can do. Auburn is a good team. i will say though if they had to play LSU again, i dont know that LSU wouldn't beat them...

Uf is not unbeatable...but as of today, they have had two pretty big conference games....BAma isn't a world beater, but beating Bama and TN so far are the two most impressive conf. wins i've seen thus far by any SEC team...Auburn is 2nd cause of the two conf. games they've won...with SC being not quite as great as Bama....

The best "performing" teams so far would have to be LSU, Auburn, Florida, and Tennessee, not in any particular order.

Even with Georgia being undefeated, I've gotta think there's another SEC team "performing" better than them.

5. Georgia

I just think AUB has it going right now. Well coached on off and def, good talent, physical, and they have the swagger of a team used to winning. To me they're the top program in the conference right now. Al Borges is a tremendous OC.

Auburn would beat UT so violently that they would have to use dental records to identify the Vols.

I really don't think so. They are good, and may be the best in the SEC, but they aren't exactly a juggernaut.

I don't think that is true. While I do not think we would beat them, I think we could definitely play them close, as long as they don't start running the option.:BANGHEAD2:

I'd have to agree on AU being tops. They may not be as potent as in the last fews years, but very strong nonetheless. They are riding their knowledge of how to just win. LSU, UF, UGA, UT. No particular order. All fairly equal. Just depends on whose day it is. I like Bamma and SC as up and comers. I think Arky will rise as well.

You may be right. However, I think they might be a juggernaut as the year unfolds. They have the best RB in the SEC and a balanced attached to go with a physical defense. I think Cox is a little better than many give him credit for; and there's the Borges factor.

The LSU game, much like 2 years ago, made it appear that AUB was less explosive than they were. This AUB team might not be as good as that one, but I think they'll continue to roll.

One word describes AUB these days: S-O-L-I-D.

I agree. We'll find out a little this weekend, but if UT's O is anywhere close to what it was against Memphis the rest of the year, they could really finish strong.

??

Not sure that I agree with that. Auburn is good, probably better than us, but certainly not in a different class altogether.

Give us some credit, we're executing very well and have committed a very low number of penalties and mental errors. I don't think there is a team in the nation who would beat us "violently."

I have to agree with the statement about Borges he made a huge difference at AU. One year there's all the talk about firing Tubb then this guy comes in and they go undeafeted HMMMM.
