Tyler Smith and Ramar Smith were talented. Dumbasses, but talented.

Tyler wasn't really a recruit, he was a transfer. I was thinking only of recruits, but maybe Tyler should count too.

Ramar doesn't really go to the point. The claim was that Bruce got talent to Knoxville, just couldn't win with it. Well, when a player is dismissed after his sophomore year, I don't see how that can count as "having talent but not winning with it." It counts as a mis-evaluation of character, maybe, but not as failing to coach up (or win with) talent.

On the talent argument, I'd revise it to say that UT could bring in high-level talent without fail. Pearl did bring in more talented players than previous coaches, just not top level talent.
