Top 60? Does it really matter after the top 5 or 10? I can imagine someone, somewhere is excited their qb made the list lol

QB Rankings by 247

They ranked 5 QBs in the SEC infront of Joe. Noone is talking about how well he performed and looked last year. I love the hate. LOVE IT. More fuel to the fire! Volnation doesnt forget.
It’s a tired narrative that he overthrows WRs and lost his starting job, a narrative that some of Volnation still parrots.

That's definitely been overblown. I think he's started a grand total of like 5 games. 3 at Michigan and 2 with us. It's not like he started 15 games and got benched midway into his second season as a starter.

I just rewatched the UT/Clemson Orange Bowl night before last and I'm not sure how folks still think this young man has issues. Even the announcers on the bowl game were breaking down his skills as he looked off safeties and used the pump fake effectively, then put it right on the money. I'm starting to think it looks like Cam Newton, who kind of had the same journey in college football, and ended up at Auburn finally and then won a natty. Oh man, I just realized something, I no longer have BVS!!! (Battered Vols Syndrome). I'm healed!!!!! Go Vols!!!

Good point! I must say that I'm tickled to death that the announcers were able to break away for 5 seconds to talk about Joe Milton instead of Klubnik

Gosh, it's that time of year. Everyone undefeated (even Vanderbilt), Everybody's QB a Heisman hopeful. Media and media wannabees looking for click bait, Uncle Lou still an idiot. I tend to be an ostrich and stick my head in the sand about this time and wait for the kickoff.

I'd ask a liar about Milton. The question would go something like this: "Coach Dabo, how would you rank Joe Milton on this list"? I would think Dabo would say he's about 15 or so, because it's painful for him to remember the BUTTWHIPPING that was put on him by Milton.

Im confused. All of the QBs ranked ahead of Joe have something he does not, a resume. I do not think it unfair for them to be ranked ahead of him preseason. In fact id say him being ranked 20 is a huge compliment. We and they all know he has the potential. Now is the time for him to prove it and im sure he will. Id much rather this than him being ranked number 1 and getting all full of himself. Though from his personality i dont find that would be likely either.

In that one game against Clemson? I wouldn't call it hate, more like reality.

Most (not all) QB's above Joe on this list are justifiably ranked.

even in garbage time. Throws were accurate and on time.

Here’s Quinn Ewers resume
172-296 58.1% 2177 yards 15 TDs 6 INTs

That doesn’t scream top 5 QB in the country

as a true freshman at Texas yeah it actually does...He has Arch Manning riding the bench bro. Those stats are about Equal to what Joe has done in 5 years... 171 -296 57.8 % 2540yds 17td 6 int and if one wanted to be really funky about it 7 tds and 700ish yards came in garbage time in blowouts last year.

Do not get me wrong.. if you have seen me post I'm one of the most pro-milton guys around and have been since last year. I am just playing devil's advocate and saying there is an argument for him to be closer to 20 than 1 PRESEASON. By the end of September, we will know what the deal is. Ewers stats show upside, because he did it all as a freshman. Most of Joe's good stats came in garbage time against teams that had thrown in the towel. It just facts, like it or not and its a valid argument. To those of us that have seen his growth though we know what we have. Let the rest of America be surprised.

Milton will make this list look ridiculous by the end of the year.

Took awhile but he turned the corner in his development last season.
