It's an easy drive too - you go up the tollway past the Wharf then take a right (can't recall the road) follow it to a T then go right and follow that to the PC.

Right on. It and Florabama both sound like my kind of places so I will probably stop by several times...

Red Bar was the absolute worst restaurant that I have dined in in the Destin area. It sucks donkey balls.

People really seem to love Red Bar for some reason. I ate there once about two years ago and I wasn't super impressed. I don't know if it was because everyone was talking it up so big I had high expectations or if it was just ok food.

Florabama is a must - all kinds of people and everyone is having a good time. Nice that you are walking distance from it. The Florabama Yacht Club is across the street and has better food. I recommend both but the Florabama is top priority

Bushwackers at Pirates Cove are way better than those at the Florabama

As already mentioned, Lulu's and Cobalt. If you're going anywhere near Foley, Lambert's Cafe if definitely a must.

Some good suggestions on here.

Had to bump this for Lambert's Café. Cool place with good country cookin'. Went to the original in Sikeston, MO back in the early 80's. Made a one hand catch of a roll as I walked in the door. The Foley location is huge compared to that place.

The Sikeston cafe was fun back in the day. The second generation patriarch would do a comedy routine with the customers. Would bring out one of his daughters and try to auction her off or play cards and the winner could take her. Sikeston was an agriculture/cattle ranching town so the boots and hats crowd would really get into that - embarrassed the poor girl to death. The Foley location is a palace compared to that place - an original do drop in.
