BOL 2011 Alabama Top 20 Prospect Ranking

1. Brent Calloway
Russellville (AL) Russellville LB 6-1/210 Alabama
A physical freak who can do it all - will likely play in college as a 225-plus pound linebacker.

2. Marvin Shinn
Prichard (AL) Vigor WR 6-3/177 Alabama
Tremendous body control and hands. Shinn could be a uber-possession receiver or tall, deep threat.

3. Erique Florence
Valley (AL) Valley DB 6-2/181 list
Fast, physical and nasty. Florence has superior instincts and is almost always around the football.

4. LaMichael Fanning
Auburn (AL) Auburn DE 6-6/285 list
If we were ranking upside, Fanning may top this list in a walk. He has NFL size and measurables - just needs to continue to learn the game.

5. Danny Woodson, Jr.
Mobile (AL) LeFlore WR 6-2/200 list
Not a blazer, but super quickness and ball skills. Son of former Tide quarterback Danny Woodson.

6. Reese Dismukes
Spanish Fort (AL) Spanish Fort OL 6-3/272 list
Dismukes isn't a physical specimen, but he has some of the more impressive OL film you will watch. Mean and nasty.

7. Jabrian Niles
Mobile (AL) Davidson DE 6-3/225 list
A tweener in size and will probably play standing up in college, but Niles is probably the best pass-rushing threat in the state for 2011.

8. Spencer Region
Somerville (AL) Cullman OL 6-6/330 Auburn
A monster in size, Region projects as a huge interior lineman at the next level. Run blocking is his strength right now.

9. Christion Jones
Adamsville (AL) Minor DB 6-0/185 list
A super-versatile athlete that probably projects at safety, but could play corner or receiver. Also a dangerous kick-returner.

10. Daryl Collins
Gadsden (AL) Gadsden City WR 6-0/190 list
Another in a long line of Gadsden prospects. Collins is a highly productive and athletic possession receiver.

11. Stephen Rivers
Athens (AL) Athens QB 6-6/200 list
Brother of San Diego Chargers QB Phillip Rivers. The younger Rivers has the same throwing style and improvisational skills - except he stands nearly 6-foot-7.

12. Thomas Williams
Prichard (AL) Vigor OL 6-4/290 list
Another big run-blocking mauler at offensive guard. Big upside as 2009 was his first year to play on the OL.

13. Chris Nelson
Theodore (AL) Theodore QB 6-2/225 list
Very polished and instinctual quarterback that plays in a pro-style, run-heavy offense. Nelson's strengths are accuracy and fundamentals.

14. Keymiya Harrell
Plantersville (AL) Dallas County DE 6-6/230 list
A big, raw and lean defensive end. Will need work in a college weight room to maximize his potential.

15. Anthony Swain
Gadsden (AL) Gadsden City DB 6-2/185 list
Big, physical safety prospect who put up huge tackle stats as a junior.

16. Jacquese Kirk
Jasper (AL) Walker DB 5-11/160 list
Smart, athletic cover-corner who rolled up double-digit interceptions as a sophomore before opponents decided to look the other way his junior season.

17. Antonio Marsh
Prichard (AL) Blount LB 6-2/198 list
Very athletic and long linebacker prospect who needs to gain weight. LB MVP of the EAC Combine in Spanish Fort last summer.

18. Devaunte Sigler
Mobile (AL) B. C. Rain LB 6-4/225 list
Plays with his hand down in high school, but likely a big linebacker at the next level. Cousin of former Tide safety Kelvin Sigler.

19. Pat Milliner
Millbrook (AL) Stanhope Elmore WR 6-2/173 list
Brother of Tide five-star signee DeMarcus Milliner. The younger Milliner shares the speed gene (4.4 40-yard dash) but will likely star at wide receiver in college.

20. Demond Husband
Mobile (AL) Williamson OL 6-2/305 list
Another strong interior OL with good feet and a great highlight tape.

Maybe we can raid their state?

Bama and the Barn both loaded up last year. They cant sign them all. The days of Bear having 140 players are over.

We need to be all over this guy. One thing that is missing from our lines since the 90's is "mean and nasty". Now Bama and UF have those guys. We need them and I don't care what they are ranked. Physical, mean and nasty.

9. Christion Jones
Adamsville (AL) Minor DB 6-0/185 list
A super-versatile athlete that probably projects at safety, but could play corner or receiver. Also a dangerous kick-returner.

I'll try to help on this one here.

I think we need to hit Mobile hard. ALOT of big time talent comes from that area. Tee Martin, JaMarcus Russell, Julio Jones, just to name a few that have won a NC that came from Mobile area.

He Collins kid will need some work. He has the size but is not used at all at Gadsden they have no QB. If they had one they would be one of the top schools in the country. Watch them play offen. That saftey they have is a beast! He will star and play pro ball one day but doubt we get any of them if Alabama wants them they get them. Then once they sign a doge charger is delivered to there house. It is the way it works here. Come to Gadsden in the summer and you will see the 3 bama have now on there team driving there chargers around town!

Besides the top two on that list who have already commited to us players 3-6 and 19 I believe are the only other ones on there that have offers from UA. 3 of those 5 we have a good shot at with the other 2 going to the Barn. So alot of talent still there that is ready to play for anyone that is showing interest to them.

Nah dude I'm out of school been out for a while now. I graduated from Minor and I know this dude from years ago when he was small. He's got family members I know that want me to work him out some this spring and summer.

If this is all true, then please don't try and "work on him." This decision is too important for a kid's life than to have people he trusts purposefully try and lead him one way or the other based on who youre a fan of

If Tennessee is the best place for him I won't hesistate to encourage him. But if another school has a system that he fits better than ours I'll let him know that. I'm not selfish like that.

This kid is a player, won many awards including Birmingham area defensive player of the year. Only thing is he is a big bammer and would be a long shot.
