It's just funny that a lot here blamed the QB while a few us were pointing out lack of speed and separation at WR.

How about game planning? If you aren't getting WR's open, maybe throw a lot of short stuff to RBs & TEs? (Over the middle!) Make one block and do a 5 yd turnaround? That should be figured in every play. Let the WRs be the decoy. And Max Protect! Tennessee had nothing to check to.

Yep, either the staff have to get better at talent identification or they have to coach better....or both.
It's not the talent. We have guys that could have went anywhere. Heupel's offense is big chunk plays, spread you way out on the hashes. Problem is he doesn't have the QB or Oline to run that. This kid would do better throwing underneath, over the middle and quick outs. They just got bullheaded and ran the piss out of Sampson. To his credit he almost lasted a whole year with all that mileage.
