I'm sure if he doesn't go to the NBA that he will be Kentucky bound since both his Illinois assistants are there now, but this is exactly why Barnes' left open an extra spot for surprises like this.

I'd put our shot of landing him at minimal, but I'm sure he'll get a call from our staff.

Kentucky is either winning the national championship next year, or they're going to have so much talent that they have no idea what to do with it and the pieces never mesh to the point they're very mediocre. Not sure which it will be but it's one of the two.

Usually the latter due to playing time issues, but Kofi is definitely worrisome either way.

Thought he was headed to the NBA, but now I don't see him looking too great in mock drafts

Davion Mintz just said he is coming back to Kentucky too today....

I'm not sure we'll add anyone else outside of Tamba this off-season, but I believe we still have one spot and since Cockburn is likely headed to UK this could be another strong addition to the post....

That guy was awesome in the tourney. He showed out all year against the best competition they played.

Y'all can trash on Cal and UK all you want, but if they get Cockburn, then that does worry me about UT playing them. We don't have anyone on our roster with the size and physicality to match up with him in the paint consistently. At least IMO.

Barnes still seems to have Cal's number no matter who is playing. Barnes' first two rosters were not good, and he still won a game each season. Cal has changed courses with more veteran guys, but he still has to get all of them to buy-in. They aren't all coming just to play 15 minutes.

I agree with you on people writing off UK/Calipari....obviously dumb.

However, I want to see Cockburn and our posts in SEC action before I start declaring we don't have anyone that match up against him. We do have more depth and experience in the post now, and we haven't even seen potential UT starters play a lick NCAA basketball yet. I remember this dude Patrick Young...I called him Patricia sometimes...built like a brick shathaus, but he was 2-ply, bud.

Make him run up & down the court to tire him out.

He’s big but on the slow side.
