from my understanding not only are they allowed to transfer, but other schools are allowed to contact the players...

and for the record I don't mind this being another topic...I would rather it be informative and have information and not people arguing if it is a good topic or not

I'm here, in part, to derail redundant threads. And put people down.

But seriously, you have to understand why you are being given a hard time. This has been a hot topic since late Wednesday night, and you are acting like this thread is breaking it open. I know no one has the chance to read every post in every thread at all times, but couldn't this have been in the USC penalties thread, or the half a dozen threads about trying to take players from USC?

EDIT: And I am not trying to be the police, I am just telling you why you are being poked fun at.

But seriously its every post i make on here.Funny thing is it's always the same people doing it.Coincidence i think not. This is all i have to say on this subject before it's all the thread is about.By the way i didn't act like anything i simply read a story and thought it might interest Volnation and posted it.That simple.

Yeah...I called the NCAA confirmation into Sports 180 since it was stated by one of the guests on the KNS that it was still up in the air. Sports 180 said that it had surfaced yesterday after being posted on the USC website. I corrected him and told him that it had first been posted here on several threads [yours truly]. Bruce Feldman interviewed Kiffin yesterday and he said that their Jr/Sr class couldn't transfer.

Yesterday I said that LK would try to use the appeals process to buffalo his players into staying. Also wondered aloud about who would inform the players of their options. His kind is predictable.

The big queston is still what effect will the appeals process have on when the transfers can take place. The only real timeline in the appeal process is that USC has 15 days to submit their Notice of Intent to file an appeal It's been reported in the media that it could be next year. Ultimately we'll have to see what the NCAA says about that since the Infractions Appeals Committee sets the procedures for the appeal process.

When you become moderator it can be.

This.I enjoy when people post articles I might otherwise not have seen. But I guess everyone doesn't.It seems like in every thread half of the comments have nothing to do with the subject.

Yeah you know he is going to do anything and everything in his power to make it as hard as possible on any possible transfer.

Those people don't understand all they are doing by posting pointless comments is making that thread more enticing to someone looking through the threads and seeing how many posts it has.So they are actually being counterproductive to their cause.By the way thanks.

It was there in the NCAA rulebook for everyone to see. It was reported numerous times yesterday. On here, in the recruiting section, etc

This will probably be difficult for you to fathom, so just take my word for it: There are those who have a life and do not spend every waking hour on volnation. Many of them would not have read those numerous reports you refer to.

As an aside, to keep with the new trend, let me go ahead and give a preemptive *mai, *Their, *our, *red.

You're welcome.

Do you think the NCAA will take some step to make sure the USC players are properly informed of their options?

I dont spend every waking hour on here. The information was out there. I dont expect people to read the rulebook, but someone had, had posted it on here, as well as it was put out there by several beat writers last night. The fact is that we did not need another thread acting like it was breaking news when it had been fully discussed on here already.
