Trash OSU fans

Encountered some rude OSU fans and some very friendly OSU fans.

Had two encounters where OSU fans thought a Vol couple were sitting in their "season ticket holder seats" and shoved there stuff down down the bench, while raising cane, as the couple had went to concessions. Only to sit there for about 5 minutes, go pick up the the vol stuff put it back in the seats and realized they were in the wrong section. This happen TWICE, to the same two seats and in both cases the OSU couples were wrong. We ripped em a little for not knowing where their "season ticket holder" seats were located as they shuffled away.

Had four intoxicated OSU fans on my right, one of them actually passed out for most of game. They were obnoxious but harmless.

Met a few nicer fans as well, and joked around with few before the game. I had to initiate those conversation. I was asked about 50 times how far was your drive... ?

Tough trip, expected us to be competitive and we really never had anything to cheer about.

I experienced a mixed bag as far as fans go. We had a mouthy group of college aged kids behind us they were annoying but harmless. The Ohio state fan we met in section C2. Was the coolest dude. He gave us liquor, gave me hand warmers to put in my shoes when I told I hadn’t felt my toes since the second quarter. He even offered us a place to stay the night if we needed it.

The stadium is inferior to Neyland it’s just the truth. It’s very good but not great. Whoever thought it was a good idea to put a 4 story flag pole in the south endzone should be slapped.

It was great to see so much Orange. Their fans should be embarrassed. That would never happen in Neyland.

I sat in the OSU student section. It actually wasn't bad except for the cold ass wind. All in all It wasn't bad but that place isn't loud. Had normal conversations with some of the students and most thought Nico looked to be the only one who wanted to win. Had SEC chants lol but with all the hell they have had in this conference..... I see why. Also I saw more drunk obnoxious Tennessee fans than anything. Hell outside the stadium a guy with 4 UT pop ups was so drunk trying to fold them to put them away fell and destroyed one. He feel about 5 other times just from the 20 minutes I could see

With all the trash I saw us throwing out on social media, we deserved every bit they gave us.
Agreed the banter is a huge part of what makes College football fun. I have no problem with it. It just stings when they start singing Rocky Top. The kid behind us would yell “that’s their favorite play” every time we punted. That one hurt more than it should lol. If you win you can talk. Just sucks we had all the energy on the way in. They were stunned. Sucks we couldn’t follow up on the field.

You. I'll never stop trash talking. It's part of the game. It's fun but I understand it's a double edged sword. It is what it is.

I’m old I don’t talk trash anymore. I sing Rocky Top and do the chants. I realize the only difference between me and them is where we were born. But, talk is fair game. A lot of their fans are softer than ours though, if we won they would probably want to make wearing Orange in Columbus a felony.

We might have been in the same section or just had another noisy college kid behind us. We were by the flag pole. Some of them were non stop. It was a bummer once kick off started we really never had anything to cheer about. Guys next to us were Ohio but very nice. Especially to my kid. The ones behind were just annoying but I get it they had heard our loud mouths all week and I’d be upset too if that many opposing fans were in my stadium.

It’s Northern culture and Southern Culture. We can be rude at times but they took it to another level. Walking out of the stadium and past the High Street bars was an eye opener about how the 20 somethings have no respect for, well anything. I only responded to a few because they actually got a little too close to me and my wife. Most didn’t go to OSU nor did they attend the game. Most of their fans before and during the game were fine other than the drunks. Their concessions and bathrooms in the lower bowl were worse than most middle school gyms.

I was in C2 directly behind the flag pole. Yeah they are trying to spin it, but it was a sad showing by their fans, letting us buy up all those tickets. That would never happen here. Especially for a playoff game.

I’ve always been “if you dish it out, better be big enough to take it if you lose”.

As long as you, me, we, etc are big enough to take it, then go for it. I just don’t like the big trash talkers who then turn around and may the other fans “are the worst” when they just turn it around on us.

Dont hate me on here, but I thought the Shoe was better than Neyland in almost every way. I was in awe how beautiful it was and the tradition. The seats were bigger and more comfortable. Our speakers and bathroom lines are way better though.

The fans I thought were great except a few drunken 20 year olds by the bars but thats to be expected. They offered us food, beer, thanked us for coming. Honestly couldn’t have been a better experience.

Title for attention. How was the notorious bad boy OSU fan atmosphere?

Anyone who was there i want to hear about what all these chants were (couldn't make them out), what trash they were saying to you guys, etc. I don't wanna hear about "we deserved it" I am just curious if the "osu fans are the most evil fans" thing is true or if you enjoyed the experience and atmosphere. The band is apparently the 2nd best to POTS, how'd it live up at half time? Any Hang on Sloopy tonight?
they are just happy to beat an SEC team. They're now 2-14 all time against the SEC.

Ohio State was the worst fan base I've ever been around. They were aggressively taunting from time we got out of the car. Vol fans were all together, high fiving and bumping fist all night, never seen one aggressive taunt from a Vol. We were chanting vol chants and saying go Vols ect. I only had one single positive interaction with any group who gave praise to the turnout. I'll admit they got to me when two guys just came up and started talking crap and using profanity out of nowhere. They tucked tail and ran when I said f the football teams let's make it about you an me. My temper got to me but dang, you don't go up to people aggressive like that while using curse words. I seen it all night. They're lucky Tennesseans have hospitality and politeness. They're a bunch of cowards when it gets real. Arrogant pricks. Will never attended that stadium again.

P S. The first drive was very very loud from the Vols. That stadium meter was total BS. I never felt it my chest like you do at Neyland. We were carrying on conversations between ourselves. You can't hear your own voice when it's rocking at Neyland.

You and me are the same kind, love it brother. Bodybuilder & boxer, I am a very very gentle person. When UF and Pitt kids tried cussing at my dad I will admit I have got in their faces after several warnings "you dont want to do this" and someone threatened my family then pushed my dad moderately hard, guy got the full power kidney punch and I didn't get in trouble due to witnesses. No charges pressed, just don't threaten or assault my dad or grandfather or 8 yr old cousin over a freaking logo or get taught humility.

Vols fans don't go after kids. Even our students don't do that.
