I remember Spurrier saying during that 2001 game "can anybody tackle number 31?"
.....um, no Lil Stevie, they couldn't & you lost your last game as Floridah HC at home!

i never noticed that about his feet, i think he was going at such a high rate of speed when he ran over that gator it twisted his foot to make it look like he had two right feet.

Anyone remember the Arkansas game that was delayed for bad storm that year in 2001. I can't remember how many carries or yards Stephens had but think it was around 30+ carries with 200+ yards. Just remember that all Clausen did was hand off to Stephens and Arky could not stop him.

Travis Stephens is one of my favorite UT players ever. The season he had in 2001 was just unbelievable. He really stepped up and took his game to another level. I don't feel like we've had anyone play at that level ever since.

Definitely should have won the Doak Walker award that year. I remember seeing him lose to that guy from BYU and thinking it was an absolute joke.

The Bama and Gator envy on this board amazes me.

Yes, UT played very well against UF in 2001...2001!

For fans to hang on to a game from 12 years ago, much less bring it up as a form of "bragging" because Spurrier left after that game is just sad.

I was a Freshman at Henry Co. When he went off for the state single-game record(at the.time), 397 or sumn crazy like that. But the good.guys still got.the win(HCHS), can't believe we still beat em but we had a goon squad tons of D1 talent just no thoughts of college, well that and robbin the lil general didn't help get em anywhere. Never seen so much wasted talent. But TS The Clarksville Comet.is.always one.of my all time faves!!!!
