I gotcha. That seems like a pretty strange move by Johnson. It seemed like it was just a matter of time before he started winning more at LSU.

I heard he was butting heads with some boosters last year about recruiting "tactics" that are necessary to compete.

Okay, I will be that guy. How does this affect Tennessee basketball?

Around the NCAA maybe...:)

Because obviously Cuonzo Martin will leave for LSU and we should discuss his replacement. Are you new here? Haha. Just kidding.

It could effect...Tennessee recruiting, Tennessee competition, possible transfers etc etc

But I get what you're saying, it just won't get as much attention here as in the basketball forum. It's all good though.

He is a good coach and seems complimentary. Matter of fact his success at Nevada got him and Mark Fox SEC jobs. TCU getting a good fit. LSU better take this chance to open checkbook. While conference doesnt have divisions any longer however the schedule of Western opponents gives them a chance to compete. Top 2-6 job in SEC.

There have been rumors out of Red Stick that LSU has had their hearts set on hiring Bruce Pearl once his show cause expired. Maybe Johnson heard that and beat them to the punch.
