So one of these 2 parties is guilty of seriously bad behavior.
If nothing really happened shouldn't there be consequences for the false accusation?
If something did and she was pressured (in some way) to retract shouldn't there be consequences for the perp?
(no Ras did not take over my account)
Did the perp pressure her though to retract?
(I'm not saying any one her is or isn't right or wrong...just wanted to throw out some thoughts.)
Couldn't this pressure have come from either the dealing with yet another irrational, angry college fan base or potentially information about her the attorneys were suggesting they'd make public?
And isn't the girl a scholarship athlete at the school - on the women's basketball team, or something? Supposing she was not making this up, once her identity was made public... well, we've already seen how plenty of bases/communities have reacted to this stuff.
Everyone football fan or student on the campus would know who she is (which might be less difficult to eventually find information about her because she'd be an athlete on a school roster). Everyone not only would know who she is, but they'd also be able to figure out where she would be at certain times on a fairly weekly schedule (whenever and wherever her team practices, as well as when it's scheduled to play).
Combined with the attorneys making public ideas of promiscuity and such, would it be unreasonable to be worried about fans - angry about her, in their eyes "impairing" the football team's success that year or costing them what they felt to be their next great QB - showing up at their games to, at best, yell/chant things like "sl-t" and "wh--e" (among other things) at her? (sorry, I just don't type the full words on this board).
Would she realistically be able to stay at the school? At somewhere where football's that big of a program/way of life, I'm not sure she could (which could also bring up - if her athletic scholarship is needed for her ability to actually attend a college - would she be able to get another somewhere else?)...there's a lot of the less direct that could scare/pressure someone here as well...
