You know nothing about Trevor, stop acting like you do.

Don't know where I acted for a second like I know him. Him not finishing High School does put him at a disadvantage in terms of knowledge he didn't obtain in the last 2 years. Everything else I said regarded the way that it furthers negative stereotypes. You're the one who needs to take personal bias out of the discussion.

That's just the thing. Because he won this race, everyone acts like it was a great idea. Jeremy Tyler, who left HS to play his senior year in Europe, was railed. I wasn't supportive of his move either

Any kid who seriously thinks they can leave high school and be the next superstar race car driver is delusional and probably won't be helped by an education anyway.

I'm talking about a 20 year old kid that dropped out of high school. I don't care what he's doing. I'm not saying it'll help him drive any better. Not only can it put him at a disadvantage in terms of intelligence, it also furthers the bad stereotypes about the area in which I live. We're looked at as less-educated, and because of stories like this, whether the kid seems nice or not (which he does), I don't like to see it.

It's not as if he dropped out to help Anne May raise the baby the conceived in the back of his pick up truck..

He left and started taking online classes (which he was told he had to keep all A's in order to race) so he could race full time on a team his dad started in NC.

That's nice. That's not how it'll appear. The way it appears is that the most redneck event ever, NASCAR, just had it most well-known race won by a kid who dropped out of high school after 2 years.

Again, the kid seems really nice, speaks clearly, etc. He seems like a great kid. When people look at the surface, though, he fits right into the negative stereotypes.

Give it up.
