I agree that Trey probably got nothing from Butch. But, give the devil his due, JP and his training staff worked with Treys doctors to keep him playing when things looked pretty bleak.

The 1 thing that garbage Gump did right.

Hell Trey didnt practice for almost the entire season +....he did film study, walk thru, physical therapy stuff...then showed up Saturdays and wrecked the best linemen in the SEC on a weekly basis. Unheard of. Have to give coaches credit for believing in him when even the doctors didnt think he could play anymore...

uhhhhhh not sure if serious. Bro had a life-threatening health issue. Its one thing to take a chance an ACL will recover... but if someone has health concerns that could realistically lead to them dying on the field all kinds of red flags get set off. NFL teams are businesses first. That's a huge liability to absorb. Lets say they draft him and he croaks during practice or during the Superbowl. Depending on a number of things they leave themselves open to lawsuits and look bad in front of the fans not to mention the moral issues to deal with. You have to remember we live in the most litigious country on the planet by far. We make up a little over 4% of the total world population and 75% of the lawyers in the world are here. Think about that for a second. you might have to say it a few times before it sinks in I know I did.. thats nuts.

Everyone knew he was a first round talent but high risk. I can't believe teams didn't jump on a first round talent in the fourth round. If his risk was character or health issue with his knees/back he would have been gone way before the 6th round. Dude played at a high level for a year on his new schedule his senior year.

He's a sixth round draft pick. Outplaying it and cashing in on his second contract. It's one of the very few fair situations with the rookie wage scale. First and second day picks in his class got more money but not life changing unearned loot like back in the day.
