I met Ed “Too Tall” Jones at a KFC in Abilene when I was a kid.

Met him at a meet and greet at Jackson State Community College when I was a kid. I had no clue who he was but I got an autographed picture. I'm still mad that I lost that.

Cool thing happened yesterday. Was eating dinner at Lathams in Jackson yesterday when Trey Smith walked in with his dad and a coach from USJ. They sat across the room from us. I didn’t want to bother him but that’s the closest I’ve been to someone with a Super Bowl ring since Bart Star passed me on I 40 Years ago. I actually went to school with his dad at Haywood High but he was a couple years or 3 older than me.

Too Tall came and spoke at our school one time. He came by his nickname honestly. Now having nothing to do with Trey Smith or Too Tall Jones except matching them in awesomeness...

Lol. I actually recognized him as he went by and he had a personalized Green Bay Packer’s license plate on back of his car
