The Vols threw the ball for 148 yards VS MSU. Troy passed for 348. We had 18 1st downs. Troy had 30. Using a common team......We could be in for a long day.

They got an awful lot of help from Miss St in that game.
18 missed assignments, 20 missed tackles.
Okay sounds familiar, but we're at home.

Ms State is ranked 28 in total D.

UT is ranked 99 in total D.

The Vols should beat Troy, but I don't think you have a very effective argument there.

This is 100% correct! First we'll pin they asses deep with an 8 yard punt, then we'll get into our famous PRETENSE DEFENSE. Their running backs will be tired in the 4th quarter and......

Actually I think we win by a couple of TDs but it will be way too interesting in the first half....Hope I'm wrong and it's a blowout.....in our favor of course....

I guess you're right.
18 missed assignments and 20 missed tackles would be expected from the #28 defensive team and it was a great Troy team that almost beat them..

Most aren't predicting a loss to Troy.
The debate is more about how many points they'll put up.
Those who have looked at stats and opponents are predicting less than 30 and the knee jerkers are predicting they'll run wild against our defense.

The Zips are 1-7 against mostly real small schools and have been getting pounded in many of those games. Yet, they hung with us for three quarters. That was the most embarrassing one of all

You act like holding them to less than 30 points would be impressive. Then again, for our defense that might be quite an accomplishment.
