Personally, I found it hilarious. It was a my dad can beat up your dad kind of moment. All is fair in a VolNation tussle.

Exactly, and a 41 year old man like myself shouldn't be making that argument, especially since my dad is 72.

He coaches at Arky now, what was he supposed to say? Nothing to see here.

From the article....

...Jim Chaney sure is trying to endear himself to Arkansas fans.

The Hogs' new offensive coordinator was on SportsTalk with Bo Mattingly and was asked if it's hard to get Rocky Top out of his head from his previous stop in Tennessee.

"What is Rocky Top?" Chaney said. "I'm not following the line of questions here. That's past tense, I don't know any of that stuff."

That's got to sting Volunteer fans...

He's supposed to show a little appreciation for school he never developed a running game for that paid him millions of dollars. Even after Jimmy Johnson won the Super Bowl, he always said "My home is South Florida and my school is the University of Miami".

You mean the way the a lot of us were begging for an OC that would not throw the bomb on 3rd and 1 or not completely abandon the run or even run a WR screen at any time? It wasn't like we had a WR that can make a whole team miss him or anything.

All the talent we had masked how stupid that offense was. Any OC would have had a great O with that OL, CP, and Hunter. Its a real shame that it wasn't as efficient as it should have been.

Agree. All those drives that died simply because he chose to throw for 30 when he needed 1 or 2 to keep it alive. Did not see much that would qualify him as a great OC. At least we know what Arkansas will do in those situations because he was locked in.

He could have had more class after leaving, but since he didn't, even more glad he is gone.

Really? I suppose if you get fired your going to give a shout out to your former employer about being a great place to work? We paid him a fair days pay for a fair days work. CJC owes us nothing.

Were there no receivers on routes less than 30 yards? I'm no fan of Chaney, but unless there were no receivers less than 30 yards away, that is on Bray.

Cheney had me scratching my head several times with the situational play calling. Always thought we could do better

The only thing I want from last years' team is Bray, Hunter and Patterson. Hard to look bad at OC with those.

The link didn't work, but I bet it's Chaney slamming us on the way out. TBH, I'm not gonna miss Chaney. His play calling was suspect. With our offensive talent he definitely made alot of dumb decisions. Also, not saying this is the case, but offenses that ran the spread gave a good number of SEC teams fits in the bowl games.

Great to see all the fan base gets along. Maybe if we shut football down the world would be a happier place. We might all start worrying about what our real world will look like in the next several years . in the scheme of things UT football may not matter a bit

UT football matters on Volnation inside the Tennessee Vols Football Forum.

Oh you mean the same Offense that lost to Kentucky?

You cant blame that one on the Defense eather pal, so dont try

You can blame a goodly portion of that on Hiestand's line philosophy a/k/a, a blocking scheme that will never work in the SEC.
