Putin obviously thinks it made Russia weaker and that's all that matters at this point. Again. Russia is an enemy of democracy and is our adversary. Viewing policy towards Russia through a partisan lens is a mistake.

My perception of Obama policy on Russia as of the last two years was that US was very suspicious of Russia, and Putin in particular; had come to the uneasy conclusion that Putin would like to be more aggressive in the Balkans and Europe, and that the US might have to confront them soon; Russia could be an ally in the Middle East, and really does not have a dog in the hunt other than to be a thorn in our side, so would be good to promote some sort of mutual interest there.

Trump's view appears to be that Putin is one cool cat.

Did it make sense for Trump to claim that he knows Russia tried to hack the RNC as well but they were unsuccessful because of counter measures taken by himself and Priebus?
