Trump's new Cabinet - Guesses & Nominations

Probably fine. Wish she'd back off of some of the threats. I imagine she'll come up with some answers to distance herself from her comments a few years ago on that.

Which threats exactly?

So according to CNN, Tulsi was placed on a watch list.

But now the narrative is no longer whether she was placed on a list, or what the list was, but rather that her inclusion on the list is disqualifying.

Interdasting.

They do the same stuff with sexual misconduct allegations.

“85 sugarvol was accused of sexual misconduct in 1993. The charges were dropped and a lack of evidence was cited as the reason.

But still. This does raise questions. Is this who we want leading such a critical department”

I’m so sick of it. Our MSM is the enemy of the people and they are just straight evil.

And here is the worst pick of all. That is unless you are a Teamster or Randi Weingarten.

This is honestly one of the worst nominees by a president in my lifetime, from either party.

From the competitive enterprise institute:

She was also one of eight Republicans to co-sponsor the Public Service Freedom to Negotiate Act, legislation that would expand public sector union power. Like the PRO Act, this legislation would give union leaders more power over their members. One provision would, according to the authors, “free [workers] from forced recertification elections of their already-recognized representative.” In other words, limit the opportunities for workers to dissolve unions if they’re dissatisfied with them.

Extremely shallow pool

Throwing a pretty big bone to the unions.

Marty Makary for FDA Chief - what a breath of fresh air for that cess pool. Been following he and Vinay Prasad since the beginning of COVID. I think this is Trump's best pick yet.

Tears from NPR 😢

While the NIH has historically enjoyed bipartisan support, Trump proposed cutting the agency's budget during his first term. The NIH came under heavy criticism from some Republicans during the pandemic. That animosity has continued, especially towards some former long-serving NIH officials like Dr. Anthony Fauci, who led the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for 38 years, and Dr. Francis Collins, NIH director from 2009 to 2021.

A couple things from this passage: Even the Obama administration had enough concerns about Team Fauci/Collins that they moved to curtail gain of function funding (though Fauci/Collins found ways around the new restrictions). Given the ever changing nature of science, someone serving as NIH director for over a decade is a bad idea to begin with. Typical NIH grants run 5 years. Collins has set the scientific priorities for nearly two decades.

Fauci & Collins were absolutely entrenched, and Fauci specifically had reached a gross quasi-God status among many - none of that is good for The Science.

In a statement Tuesday night, Trump touted Phelan’s “record of success” and said Phelan has “excelled in every endeavor,” including founding and leading Rugger Management LLC, a private investment firm based in Palm Beach, Florida.
