So the president can just reveal details to any ongoing investigation he desires?

Yes, phone calls from Trump Tower and other places Trumpers frequented were monitored, because they were communicating with foreigners (mostly Russians) who were already under legal surveillance.

Don't commit treason, and you won't be monitored. Pretty simple lesson.

Didn't see the exact percentage given here, but I recall having seen this poll analyzed on TV last night.

When asked if direct collusion between Trump and Russia was proven, around 20 percent (I think it was) of registered Republicans said they would have no problem with that whatsoever.

I guess I should be shocked, but nothing shocks me anymore. We already have at least two posters here who are pretty much on record that they would not care and that it would not change their votes at all. Quite possibly the most un-American attitude ever expressed on this forum, but, then again, we are dealing with a large number of morally derelict individuals here.

But only one campaign did it with the aid of a foreign government and its hacked American state voter registries in order to determine which specific voters to target.

You're making assumptions. For him to have known he was wiretapped (which I'm glad you finally agree to), does not mean he was briefed "hey, they're investigating your people".

You're adding that part yourself

And no, Donny's phone was not "wiretapped."

His associates were recorded in legal foreign surveillance (call it "wiretap" if you want; mere semantics) as they were committing treason.

I know Donny pulls a lot of nonsense out of his rectum, but typically it's because of something someone has stirred him towards.

Now, if you think he just came up with that out of the blue and accused Obama of something for which there were absolutely no grounds (even a FISA warrant), then he still should be impeached.

You're fighting a no-win kind of battle. But such is the hill upon which those who defend Donny will fight (and die) upon.

If I read this all correctly, the UK is currently doing its own investigation and potential trials into Donny-Russia collusion.

Between that and the FBI, I suppose we'll eventually learn whether it was the largest conspiracy in history against a US presidential candidate or whether it was exactly what it looks like.

So the only options are:

He made it up and it was actually true

Or

He was briefed about an on going investigation.

Couldn't he have just been briefed "we believed their monitoring your communications"

Or "they have been monitoring your conversations"


Why are those not possibilities?
