Russian money laundering in NYC real estate - trial scheduled to begin Monday abruptly settled today. Curious if trial would have been settled if Bharara had not been fired by Trump. Just another layer of what some view as possible evidence of an orchestrated effort to cover up Trump / Russia conclusion.

Why do you see some sort of conspiracy here? And how is this tied to Trump?

The case against Prevezon was a civil matter, so the federal government's inherent goal was to recover money. That it did.
The $5.9 million settlement is three times the value of the $1.9 million in supposedly laundered money tied to funds stolen from the Russian state coffers.

How was it tied to Trump?

Russian money / NY real estate.

The trial would have made public the types of methods used to launder money through NY real estate. The role of the Russian government, major Russian banks, and the Russian mafia would have been made public. Bharara being fired doesn't help the smell factor.

The Rosie O'Donnell of the right. It's more a bizarre combination of sadness, amazement, and amusement than hatred.

In all honesty, I do hope one of the insane plots turns out to be true. The most insane thing is that these insane plots are all to probable.

Is there any specific evidence that links Trump to this?

Were the Russians launderers working in concert with real estate developers to launder the money? Or were they just buying property on the market?
